Student answer (Band 6.5)
Most of the individuals love's to visit various types of places. Some places are famous for their history, culture, tradition, technology, textile, machinery and natural beauty. Usually, people prefer a location which suits them most and according to their interest and for that reason they visit different countries. For that, some people have decided to reduce the trip in each year or abandoned all together. It has some environmental benefits, which, in my opinion, are more significant than the drawbacks faced by individuals and businesses.
One significant advantage of reducing air travel is that it helps people save a lot of money. Nowadays, the price of an airplane ticket starts at nearly 5,000, which can be expensive for many families. By travelling less by plane, people can save this money and use it for other important expenses, such as education, healthcare, or future savings. Another major benefit is that fewer flights reduce carbon dioxide emissions. As a result, air pollution decreases, which helps protect the environment and slow down global warming.
The drawbacks are some countries only depends on tourism and it affects their economy. If there are reduces in tourism so it declined in source of income. Mostly people are not enough educated to find jobs and that is why they started small businesses in some countries or places. For example, hotels, airlines, restaurants and local businesses may loose business and jobs. Therefore, it creates unemployment and other problems.
In a nutshell, reducing the number of flights has both advantages and disadvantages. Although it may negatively affect tourism and some businesses, it helps reduce air pollution and protect the environment. These environmental benefits are more significant in the long term. Therefore, I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, though the development is somewhat uneven. For instance, the argument regarding personal financial savings is a bit tangential to the core environmental debate, and the discussion on tourism impacts is slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should focus on deepening the analysis of the environmental impact versus the economic consequences, rather than listing general benefits like saving money on tickets. However, the overall position is consistent and the main points are clearly presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'For that, some people have decided...' and 'Mostly people are not enough educated'. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the transitions between sentences could be smoother to improve the flow. The use of linking words like 'In a nutshell' and 'Therefore' helps guide the reader, but the overall structure would benefit from more sophisticated cohesive links.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'carbon dioxide emissions', 'global warming', and 'unemployment'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'reduce the trip in each year', 'abandoned all together', and 'loose business' (should be 'lose'). These errors do not impede communication, but they limit the range of vocabulary to a basic level. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('individuals love's to visit') and sentence construction ('If there are reduces in tourism so it declined in source of income'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the errors in grammar are noticeable and occur throughout the text. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of basic sentence mechanics to achieve a higher band score.
