Student answer (Band 6.5)

Many people now limit how often they travel by plane or have given it up entirely. In my opinion it have both advantages and disadvantages.

Overall, it is clear that the environmental benefits of this development outweigh because the airplanes release nitrogen oxides which cause greenhouse gas emissions. However, they also released water vapor in high altitude, which cause to reduce warming at ground level. For example, last couple of years global warming increase every day because the traffic of cars significantly rise. As a result, government should make less damage flights like invest on eco-friendly transport like make high speed trans and also electric trains.

From an economic and personal perspective, airlines, travel agencies, local businesses, and hospitality sectors in tourist-dependent regions face major job losses and revenue drops. Their is no face to face meetings every one should travel on airplanes and its effects the individuals and businesses. Flying allows people to visit family living abroad, experience different cultures, and access global education or job opportunities quickly. Alternative forms of long-distance transport (like buses, trains, or ferries) are often significantly slower and less convenient.

In conclusion, While the economic and personal disruptions are real, the environmental benefits generally outweigh the drawbacks because climate change presents a long-term threat to global stability, whereas businesses and individuals can adapt through technology (e.g., Zoom) and high-speed rail. Flying is batter to reduce the warming effect but it have some drawbacks like it effect the businesses. Many traveler companies had effected by flying companies because every years they loss their revenue.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you mention the impact on businesses and individuals, the explanation is occasionally repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding 'water vapor' is scientifically unclear and distracts from the main point. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with logical links to the main argument rather than listing general consequences. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, though it introduces some minor confusion regarding the impact on travel companies.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However', 'For example', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the sentence 'Their is no face to face meetings every one should travel on airplanes' lacks a clear logical connector, making the relationship between the ideas abrupt. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help create a smoother progression of ideas throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'eco-friendly', 'hospitality sectors', and 'global stability'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations that impede the natural flow, such as 'make less damage flights' instead of 'reduce the environmental impact of flights' and 'every traveler companies had effected' instead of 'many travel companies have been affected'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of precision in word choice limits your ability to convey complex ideas with sophistication. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally cause confusion. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it have both', 'every one should travel'), incorrect verb tenses ('they also released'), and misuse of articles or prepositions. Additionally, there are punctuation and spelling errors, such as 'batter' instead of 'better' and 'their' instead of 'there'. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency of the writing. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will significantly improve your score.
