Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some Proponents believe that reducing the frequency or completely stopping the use of airline transport impacts environmental benefits. While, the other people believe it has major individual and business disadvantages. In my opinion the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages for individual and business as the global impact is associated with it.
To commence with, reducing the number of flights a person takes per year results in more availability of seats for people wanting to travel for necessary business. This also help in reducing the number of flights that travel a defined route. It enables sustainable use of the resources like fuel and the machinery. For Example, the overuse of the a mechnical part of the engine sometime leads to plane crash which is a great loss to human lives. Additionally, the AQI level will remain low in the atmostsphere if the traffic in air will be lowered.
In continuation with, some individual disadvantages can have a alternate solution to this issue. In today's time, The individual drawbacks in travel for bussiness can be solved by technological advancement. For Example, the owner can attend meetings online using a trusted application. Moreover, This will also encourages public to explore places around them. Additionally, people will spend less for travelling to nearby places in constrast of using flights.
In conclusion, the sustainable use of any facility will lead to environmental benifits as the demand will be reduces the prices of travelling will fall which will have a great impact during global crises.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'mechanical parts' and 'plane crashes' is not logically linked to the environmental benefits of reducing flights. Furthermore, the response falls just short of the 250-word minimum, which impacts the overall development of the argument. The position is clear, but the supporting points lack depth and specific, relevant evidence to fully convince the reader. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained idea that directly answers the 'outweigh' aspect of the question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To commence with' and 'In continuation with'. Some transitions are used incorrectly, such as 'in constrast of', which disrupts the flow of ideas. While there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion, the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'this issue') is always clear and precise.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'mechnical', 'atmostsphere', and 'benifits'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms like 'good' or 'great' rather than more precise academic alternatives. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or varied vocabulary prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on accurate spelling and incorporating more topic-specific collocations related to environmental impact and business travel would significantly improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Examples include 'Some Proponents believe', 'This also help in reducing', and 'This will also encourages'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the unnecessary capitalization of words like 'Example' and 'The'. While the writer attempts complex structures, the control over these is inconsistent, leading to errors in subject-verb agreement and preposition usage. Increasing the frequency of error-free sentences is essential for a higher score.
