Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt but lacks depth in its analysis of the environmental impact, which is the core of the question. While you mention air pollution, the argument is underdeveloped and shifts focus to general benefits of air travel (e.g., business, migration) rather than weighing the environmental benefits against the disadvantages. The position is clear, but the supporting points are often tangential or lack specific evidence related to the environmental trade-off. To improve, ensure each paragraph directly addresses the 'environmental benefits vs. disadvantages' balance rather than listing general advantages of aviation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by awkward transitions and repetitive phrasing. While cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Additionally' are used, they are sometimes applied mechanically. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs is disjointed. For example, the transition from discussing migration to import/export in the second paragraph is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words to show logical relationships between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'curriculum purpose' instead of 'educational purposes' and 'mode of action' instead of 'mode of transport'. Some phrasing is repetitive, and the use of 'rich' to describe economic value is imprecise. To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic collocations and synonyms to express complex ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'People feels', 'Airlines provides'), article usage, and incorrect prepositional phrases. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be a significant step forward.
