Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this modern era, people use to fly more. There are several concerns of the people to travel using airplanes. Some people fly to conduct or join business meetings. Some travel to meet their relatives living far away from them.
The biggest reason to fly according to the latest surveys are business deals. Journalists mentioned that on asking from business people that why can't they switch to electronic meetings instead of going far away to just join a meeting or to make a business deal. Major business personalities answered that, there can be many trust issues which can lead to a deal cancelation. Another major reason on usage of airplanes are the people who are traveling to be a part of family occasions or to see their family relatives. According to the theorists there are many disadvantages of having huge number of operational airplanes. They are now becoming the huge source of air pollution and carbon dioxide. Last reports explained clear reasons of global warming, this climate change is also an effect of several number of airplanes taking off on daily basis. The suggestions are now pointed towards less use of airplanes. The recommended solutions for businesses are electronic meetings, electronic signatures on aggrements.
In my opinion, this development is really hard for many of the people. There is no alternate for the people who are traveling in case of emergencies, it can be a funeral, wedding or some sort of important business deals. According to me, the only solution to reduce air travelings are domestic flights. In their own country they can use another option instead of flying in airplanes and international flights should remain open. Since people flying internationally can have real concerns and reasons.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for businesses and individuals. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention business concerns and family obligations, the arguments remain superficial. For instance, the discussion on 'trust issues' in business is a good start but lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or elaborate on the long-term consequences of reducing air travel. Your position is clear, but the conclusion is slightly contradictory, as you suggest domestic flights are the only solution while acknowledging the environmental impact of all flights.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into three paragraphs, which is a logical structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. Phrases like 'Another major reason' and 'In my opinion' are used to transition, but the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. Some ideas are presented in a list-like fashion rather than being woven into a cohesive argument. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between the environmental impact and the proposed solutions could be more tightly linked to improve the overall progression of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'operational', 'global warming', and 'climate change'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'travelings' (which is non-standard), 'aggrements' (spelling error), and 'several number of airplanes'. These errors do not impede communication, but they limit the score. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that you are using the correct forms of nouns and verbs in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'people use to fly' (should be 'used to'), 'on asking from business people' (awkward phrasing), and 'there are many disadvantages of having huge number' (missing article). While these errors are frequent, they rarely impede the reader's understanding. To achieve a higher band, you need to increase the frequency of error-free sentences and work on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, which are currently inconsistent throughout the text.
