Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some pupil have made a mind to cut off or decrease their travel by air every year. Yes, I do agree with the environmental advantages of this development for people and workers. In this essay, I will discuss about the advantages of reducing the air travel.
Now a days, people have limited their travel to different locations as travelling by air has become to much costly due to ever growing prices of fuel. As the prices of fuel increases it definitely increases the cost of flight tickets. Hence, decreased travel will benefit not only the economy of the country but it will also aid positively to the environment.
Moreover, the burning of fuel produces harmful gases in the atmosphere which not only affects the humans but it also badly affects the birds and other organisms. Due to the emission of gases the temperature of the earth surface is increasing day by day which is the main cause of global warming. Also many species of birds are becoming extinct due to unfavourable environmental conditions.
Additonally, the advancement in the field of technology has also made the people to cut off travelling. Many years ago people used to travel to different countries to attend their business meeting and now due to technology they now can talk to other people from the ease of their home through online platforms.
To conclude, the limitations implicated by people on air travel every year has improved the economy and also benefited the environment

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While you present a clear position, the discussion of the 'disadvantages for individuals and businesses' is largely absent, meaning the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must ensure that both sides of the argument are explored in detail. The ideas provided regarding environmental benefits are relevant but remain somewhat superficial. Expanding on how businesses are specifically affected by reduced travel would provide the necessary balance to achieve a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'To conclude' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the transition between the economic impact and the environmental impact could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, unified topic sentence that directly relates to the prompt.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on common phrases like 'made a mind' (which is non-standard) and 'ever growing prices'. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'limitations implicated' instead of 'limitations imposed'. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental science and business travel, and work on using collocations more accurately. Avoiding repetitive phrasing will also help demonstrate a more flexible control of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'Some pupil have made' (subject-verb agreement), 'has become to much costly' (incorrect adverb usage), and 'made the people to cut off' (incorrect verb pattern). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and ensuring that complex sentence structures are grammatically sound.
