Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the environmental benefits of reducing air travel and acknowledging the impact on businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the use of technology and remote work as alternatives, the discussion remains somewhat superficial. The position is clear, but the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea with clear examples. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented regarding the balance between environmental gains and business disadvantages.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often disjointed. Transitions are frequently missing or used incorrectly, such as 'now, individually we have to think about this pandemic', which seems unrelated to the topic of air travel. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. Improving the use of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'on the other hand') would help create a more cohesive and professional structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'modernistic then we thinks' and 'built more pressure'. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'ozone layer destruction' and 'remotely', but the overall range is narrow. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical context. Avoid informal phrasing and focus on building a more varied lexicon related to environmental and business topics.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'world have a great threat', 'it have a great advantages'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain run-on structures that lack proper punctuation. While there is an attempt to use complex ideas, the execution is often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles, before attempting more complex structures.
