Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the recent years, a considerable individuals have reduced travelling by air either stop the travelling from flying compeletly. From my prespective the advantages of enviorment do not outweight the disadvantages for individuals and businesses.

There are few advantages of not flying through air. If numerous individuals stop using by travelling then pecentage of air pollution will decrease. However, There is also noise pollution increasing through the usage of aeroplane, jets and many more. The third reason is migration birds are having difficulties in travelling through the air because theye have huge roots to cover just to migrate and they travel in air as much as plane levels and by reducing the number of flights thisissue can be eliminated.

There are several disadvantages outweighs the above advantages. However, the companies such as Indigo, Air India and budget operators such as Alaska air and Spice jet will have to face many issue if the flights began to close because their whole industry is based on flights. Moreover, the flight is the only fastest way of travelling. Many individuals have emergency suddenly at the last minute but because of the air way then can get their as fast as possible. In the disadvantages the main reason is also of unemployment because if all air travel companies going to shut down then the percentage of unemployment increases.

To conclude, although ther are few advantage to enviorment reduced air pollution and noise pollution, increased unemployment rate and such emergency cases should be considered. In my opinion the disadvanteges outweights the advantages

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention air pollution and noise, the explanation regarding migratory birds is slightly tangential and lacks clear connection to the core argument. The discussion on economic impacts is relevant but remains superficial, lacking specific examples or deeper analysis. Your position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more depth and logical extension to reach a higher band. Ensure that each point directly supports your stance on whether the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'However' and 'Moreover'. Some transitions are awkward, such as 'In the disadvantages the main reason is also of unemployment'. The logical flow between sentences is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel somewhat disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'enviorment', 'prespective', 'compeletly', and 'disadvanteges'. Additionally, word choice is sometimes imprecise, such as 'stop the travelling from flying' or 'emergency suddenly'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to the environment and economics, and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure, such as 'a considerable individuals have reduced' and 'if the flights began to close'. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or slightly flawed complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors before finalizing your writing.
