Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few people decided to decrease the number of times they fly every year or by plane. It has significant environmental advantages as compared to the detriments for individuals and businesses . I think the same and I totally agree with the statement.
Firstly, It will lead to an environment with less pollution and will decrease the number of diseases. The airplane emits harmful gases in the sky, which pollutes the air and leads to many diseases such as skin cancer, lungs cancer and many other.
I have read alot about the demerits of airplanes and its effects in newspaper. Apart from that,Many people lose their lives in airplane crashes. I saw a picture of aeroplanes in the sky like cars on the roads in today's world. What I mean is that the number of airplanes have increased to a tremendous amount that affects the other spices as well. There is crowd on sky like the one on road. In a nutshell, its not that only airplanes effect the environment but it would benefit us a lot If they are reduced.
However, If people would not fly by planes it would also increase environmental pollution as they will travel by car. Moreover, it might affect businesses as they face reductions in the number of clients.
At the end of the picture, I would like to conclude that Government should pay special attention on this matter to provide benefits for both the Environment and the businesses. By solving eachothers problem world would be a better place to live.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by acknowledging the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited. The argument regarding health benefits is somewhat simplistic, and the point about car travel as an alternative is mentioned but not fully explored or balanced against the initial argument. The conclusion is vague and does not clearly state whether the benefits outweigh the disadvantages, which is a requirement of the prompt. To improve, you should provide more specific examples and ensure your position is consistently clear throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is often disjointed. For example, the transition between the environmental benefits and the counter-argument about car travel is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'At the end of the picture' to introduce a conclusion. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'other spices' (likely meaning 'species'), 'crowd on sky', and 'at the end of the picture'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the errors occasionally impede the precision of your argument. To achieve a higher band, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to the environment and business, and ensure you use words in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'If people would not fly... it would also increase' (incorrect conditional usage) and 'Government should pay special attention on this matter' (preposition error). Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage are present throughout the text. Increasing the variety of sentence structures while focusing on accuracy will help improve your score.
