Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often decided by few individuals to reduce the travel of plane or full stop to flying. In my opinion, this development effect the international businesses and great loss in employment.

To begin, First of all if people stop to travel with plane which effect the aircraft companies because these companies working on international levels when people reduce or stop booking plane then a big crashed generate in plane industry. For example, in Pakistan before 20 years mostly people books tickets of PIA company of plane but when people cut back to fly in PIA than this company share market drop very quickly which affects the maintenance of planes which stop the biggest earning. In addition, when people stop to flying on plane this thing cut the connections between many nations because some countries do not have another routes for approaching them. For instance, Switzerland is beautiful country but there is no sea mostly people go their by using flights when people stop to fly in plane they do not reached to such countries which also effect on businesses because this country is famous for tourism.

Secondly, aircraft business is biggest business in world thousands of employees working in companies when people stop fly altogether than all companies become close than the employees working in companies lose their job.

To conclude, to stop or reduce the number of time to fly effect bossiness because many countries depend on tourism but they do not have sea so, plane is main source of travel in those countries and this development make large number of people job less.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the disadvantages of reducing air travel, specifically focusing on economic impacts and employment. However, the environmental benefits are entirely ignored, meaning the task is only partially addressed. The position is clear, but the development is limited. The arguments regarding the aviation industry and tourism are relevant but rely on repetitive points and lack depth. To improve, you must ensure you address all parts of the prompt—in this case, both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages—to provide a balanced view. Currently, the essay is one-sided, which limits the score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often mechanical and repetitive. While transition words like 'To begin', 'In addition', and 'Secondly' are used, they are sometimes used incorrectly or feel forced. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'this thing cut the connections', where the antecedent is ambiguous. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks logical flow, making the argument feel disjointed. Improving the use of cohesive devices and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'big', 'stop', and 'business'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'full stop to flying' instead of 'ceasing to fly' and 'big crashed generate' which is unclear. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to economics and the environment, and work on using more precise verbs and adjectives to convey your meaning without relying on simplistic phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('this development effect'), incorrect verb forms ('people stop to flying'), and missing articles or prepositions. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction hinders the flow and clarity of the writing. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of gerunds versus infinitives after verbs like 'stop' or 'decide'.
