Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you state your position in the conclusion, the argument lacks depth; for instance, the explanation of how air travel affects biodiversity is vague and lacks a logical link to the conclusion. The essay attempts to balance the two sides, but the final verdict is slightly confusing as it contradicts the earlier points. To improve, ensure each paragraph provides a clear, well-supported argument that directly contributes to your overall stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To decipher it' are used incorrectly to introduce explanations, and 'To embark with good nature development' is unnatural. The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by these awkward transitions. While there is an attempt to use linking words, they do not always create a smooth flow between sentences. Improving the variety and accuracy of your cohesive devices will help your ideas connect more logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and often imprecise. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'big loaded jets of cars' (which is factually confusing) and 'get effective' instead of 'negatively affected'. The phrase 'good nature development' is also unclear. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'take less flights' instead of 'reduce air travel'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('saving nature can helps'), article usage ('the environment gets effective'), and sentence structure ('This essay would intends to'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often marred by errors in tense or word order. The punctuation is generally functional, but the overall control of grammar is inconsistent. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb forms will significantly improve your score.
