Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people are agreed to decrease their travelling by aeroplanes or to stop using planes completely. This essay demonstrate the improvement in environment and also disadvantages for individuals and businesses.
There are more advantages of flying one of them is goods transport to different nations. There are many countries that does not share border, to transportation of goods and travellers by air plays an important role and it also reduces transportation time and cost. people like to travel by air than by a road to different countries. example for importantce of flying is in medical sectors hellicaptors are used in emergency situtations for transporting pataints.
Some people think that due to more flying there are environments disadvantages. They often argued increase in pollution. In fact, it is true at point high flying increase global warming. In many which already has low environment like deaserts will have drastic change in nature due to flying. if people stop flying altogether then there will be drastic damage to air industries which can lead to shut down of flying companies. this can colapse nations economy and transportation. example for this situation is north korea which has no flying to any other countries which lead to people stuck at a place they can't go any where which very cruial.
To conclude, few people have decided to reduce the number of times they fly every year. and i think it good to travel by air only when required. there less disadvantages of travelling less by air.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the medical sector and North Korea are somewhat tangential or lack sufficient depth to fully support the position. The conclusion is brief and does not clearly synthesise the arguments presented. While the task is addressed, the lack of detailed explanation and the superficial treatment of the 'environmental benefits' versus 'disadvantages' balance prevents a higher score. The position is present but could be more consistently maintained throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is often disjointed. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In fact' and 'To conclude', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'In many which already has low environment', where the connection to the previous point is lost. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear flow, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument's development. More variety in linking words and better sentence-to-sentence cohesion are needed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'Some people are agreed' instead of 'Some people agree', and 'drastic damage to air industries'. Spelling errors like 'hellicaptors', 'situtations', 'pataints', 'deaserts', 'colapse', and 'cruial' occur frequently. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To improve, you should focus on learning collocations and ensuring the correct spelling of common academic and topic-specific vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences often contain grammatical errors. For example, 'There are many countries that does not share border' contains a subject-verb agreement error. Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect sentence boundaries. There are frequent errors in articles, verb tenses, and pluralisation (e.g., 'increase global warming' instead of 'increases global warming'). While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the text limits the score. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring accuracy is essential.
