Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, In these year, people are more preffer going on flight rather that buses. However, from few years a significand number of people have decided to reduce the number of times they fly year year and I firmly believe that it is a this decision will brings a positive impact on society.

Initially, if people control the number of times they fly everyyear, it will provides benefical things. Not only a country, but in a worldwide. The major benefical activity is that it helps to reduce airpollution. Due to aeroplanes and private jets air is polluated. furthermore, because of air pollutcon, people can't breath properly and it also spreads numerous disease from one place to another place. On the top of that, A airpots occupied a large area of land and airpots disturbe other people by noise.

On the other hand, Although it has several disadvantages for instance, a person can go his work on time through airplane and it is very comfortable for him, also it helps to ulize or manage his time, but if they decide not to go anywhere from plane he experienced a lot of difficulties in his journey by bus or cars. Moreover, it take more time than plan.

In conclusion, Despite of knowing that going by bus takes more time and unfortable for them people choose this because they know than planes are more dagerous for entronment and human health and flight tuckets are expensive than buses.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding noise pollution and land use is mentioned but not fully extended. Furthermore, the response falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement (243 words), which negatively impacts the overall task achievement. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more specific examples and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Initially' to start the first body paragraph or 'On the top of that' which is non-standard. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between ideas feels abrupt. While there is an overall logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive nature of some transitions limit the flow. Improving the variety and accuracy of your cohesive devices will significantly enhance the readability of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive, with several spelling errors such as 'preffer', 'significand', 'polluated', 'pollutcon', 'airpots', 'ulize', 'unfortable', and 'dagerous'. These errors occasionally impede communication. The range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions. To improve, you should focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to the environment and transportation. Using synonyms instead of repeating words like 'benefical' would also help.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often affect the clarity of the message. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('it will provides', 'airpots disturbe'), incorrect word forms ('benefical things'), and awkward sentence structures ('Nowadays, In these year, people are more preffer going on flight'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors is essential.
