Student answer (Band 5.0)

Several individuals have contemplate to decrease the ratio of times they travel through planes every year or does not fly at all. In the modren world air travel has become a common and necessary. Almost all of the businesses are dependant on planes to transport their goods. Numerous individuals travel on daily basis. Why i believe that reducing the numbers will have a detrimental affect on businesses and normal individuals? This will be discussed oin this essay.

To begin with, the problems this can create for profit making organizations and on a common person. First of all demand and supply, when individuals will stop travelling through air planes and number of cargo will be decreased. The demand will be lower than before. Evantually because of low demand the supply will decreased. The inoccent individuals who had nothing to do with this. They will have to pay extra for the same seat which was affordable before.

Same goes for the businesses well known sites E bay, Amazon and Etsy. Stores owners on these sites are exporters when the prices of cargo will be increased as a result they will have to increase their price in both circumstances who is going to suffer more is an individual.

Apparently there are no evidences for the rumors that any development will have by reducing flights in addition there are no benefits an individual will have neither ecnomical or enviormental.

In conclusion, from my perspective than drawbacks of this are very bad. Only individuals will have to face the consequences.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but lacks depth and clarity. While you identify that the topic involves environmental benefits versus disadvantages for businesses and individuals, the argument is underdeveloped. You mention that reducing flights will hurt businesses and individuals, but the reasoning is fragmented and lacks logical support. For instance, the claim that 'there are no benefits... neither economical or environmental' contradicts the premise of the prompt and ignores the environmental aspect entirely. To improve, ensure you clearly state your position in the introduction and provide well-supported arguments for both sides of the debate before reaching a balanced conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. Transitions are used, such as 'To begin with' and 'In conclusion', but they are sometimes mechanical or used incorrectly, such as the abrupt shift in the second paragraph. The referencing is occasionally confusing, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between cargo, demand, and individual ticket prices is not logically linked. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive, which hinders the flow of the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'contemplate to decrease' (should be 'contemplating decreasing'), 'modren', 'dependant', 'inoccent', 'evantually', and 'enviormental'. These errors occasionally make the text difficult to follow. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'cargo' and 'exporters', the range is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To reach a higher band, focus on learning correct collocations and improving your spelling of common academic terms. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise synonyms will also help you convey your points more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'businesses are dependant' and 'supply will decreased'. Sentence structures are often simple or fragmented, such as the question 'Why i believe that reducing the numbers will have a detrimental affect on businesses and normal individuals?'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, and there are errors in word forms, such as 'affect' instead of 'effect'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors like tense consistency and article usage.
