Student answer (Band 5.0)

some individual have decided to stop traveling or reduce their travels annualy for the betterment of the enviroment. Even though it might be helpfull I beleive the cons are way more then the pros.

Traveling less every year or reducing their travel might be helpfull but their are still going to be some people those who will travel regardless and this will cause inflaction of ticket prices and the rate of polluction will rwmain the same. It is the fastest means of transport, travel and individuals those who depend on quick transport will still use it. Their are going to be people those who need to travel for what ever reason and if they are not using a air plane they will be using some other means of transport that will also cause polution in the end.

On the other hand air planes are one of the major resons for polution and can case great harm to the enviroment. Bycoting them can force the air lines to come up with a better solution that is less detramental to the enviroment. I beleive that their should be strick law on how to reduce the effect of these travels on the enviroment and their should be funds allocated for newer studyes and technologies to improve the quality of the air planes so that it produce less air polution and is more enviroment friendly.

In conclusion i do beleive that it might help and force the companies to come out with better solution but people whoes lively hood depend on fast travel are still going to travel

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited. The argument regarding 'inflation of ticket prices' is not clearly linked to the environmental benefits of reduced flying, and the discussion on businesses is underdeveloped. While a position is stated, the reasoning lacks depth and specific examples. The conclusion is somewhat abrupt and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, you should ensure each paragraph focuses on a clear, well-supported point that directly answers the 'outweigh' aspect of the question.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is sometimes weak. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often repetitive or misused (e.g., 'their are going to be people those who...'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult to follow the flow of the argument. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the environmental impact and the economic impact is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts the ability to convey complex ideas. There are frequent spelling errors such as 'enviroment' (environment), 'helpfull' (helpful), 'inflaction' (inflation), 'polluction' (pollution), 'rwmain' (remain), 'bycoting' (boycotting), 'detramental' (detrimental), 'strick' (strict), 'studyes' (studies), and 'lively hood' (livelihood). These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on accurate spelling and expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise, topic-specific terms related to environmental issues and economic impacts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies on simple sentence structures with frequent grammatical errors. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some individual have decided'), incorrect use of 'there/their/they're', and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'people those who will travel'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the lack of commas in complex sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the use of a wider range of structures. Focusing on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips will help improve your score.
