Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The essay addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention pollution and climate change, the points are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The discussion on disadvantages is brief, mentioning only tourism and meeting delays without sufficient elaboration or concrete examples. To improve, you should aim to expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and specific, relevant examples. The position is clear, but the overall development of the argument is superficial, which limits the score to a 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. You use some cohesive devices like 'However', 'Therefore', and 'Consequently', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or feel mechanical. For example, the transition between the environmental benefits and the disadvantages is abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'Therefore, this positive development has huge impact on society', where the link to the previous point about China is weak. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'emmit' (emit), 'teward' (toward), 'Concequently' (Consequently), 'benifits' (benefits), and 'airpots' (airports). Additionally, some word choices are imprecise, such as 'touring countries' instead of 'countries reliant on tourism' and 'lower numbers of airpots' instead of 'reducing the number of airports'. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and practice using more sophisticated collocations to express your ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('The gases emmit... has', 'their are many disadvantages'), article usage ('with plane'), and sentence fragments ('Or reduce the numbers they fly together'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While you attempt complex structures, they are often faulty. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex sentence forms.
