Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people have decided to reduce the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying altogether. However, if someone don't travel by plane to there designed destination eventually he will travel by some other means of travel.
First point is this if we have to make the environment benefit then we have to stop the unnecessary pollution going around the world and we also have to look up at the waste management. More than half of the waste is left for the soil whether it's decomposable or not thus it causes the soil pollution giving a greater harm to the environment. People also burn the waste which causes air pollution and harm to the environment by causing global worming.
Second point is that the industry's also cause a greater harm to the environment by different means of wastes production. Hence I think that if we limit the number of flights then environment will be surely benefits but the buisnesses of the individual will be affected and to cover this loss then the person will travel with some other transport which will cause him more time. If we have to do something than we can limit the number of utilization of the vechiles which run of natural resources instead we could go for electric vehicles.
To recapitulate I would suggest to limit the usage and be cautious with the waste management and grow trees to help the environment and use electric vehicles the citizens should develop a feeling of pollution free Earth and make it a best place to live.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but struggles with focus. While you acknowledge the environmental benefits, the essay shifts significantly toward waste management and general pollution, which are not the core focus of the prompt regarding air travel. The position is somewhat clear, but the arguments are not fully developed. For instance, the impact on businesses is mentioned briefly but lacks specific examples or depth. To improve, ensure every paragraph directly relates to the trade-off between flying and the environmental/economic consequences specified in the question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Transitions between ideas are often abrupt or missing, such as the sudden shift from air travel to soil pollution. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused (e.g., 'First point is this', 'Second point is that'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and occasionally inaccurate. There are several spelling errors, such as 'buisnesses', 'vechiles', and 'worming' (instead of 'warming'). You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'make the environment benefit' or 'limit the number of utilization'. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise, academic terms related to environmental issues and economic impacts, and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('if someone don't travel', 'industry's also cause'), incorrect verb forms ('environment will be surely benefits'), and awkward sentence structures. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs. Proofreading for common errors like pluralisation and tense consistency will also help.
