Student answer (Band 5.0)

in this contemporary era, the advancements in the use transport has changes frequently in recent years. nowadays, majority of inhabitants travel to their destination by the use airplane so that they can reach within limited period of time.while, some individulas now have decided to minimize their traveling by plane or stop it. This essay not only has myriad of benefits but also carries few drawbacks and my point of view will be highlighted in the conclusion.

Commencing with most salient reason, initially, if the people reduce or minimize their travelling by air, then it provides plethora of pros to the environment, as the pollution present in the air would be reduced, that is created by the planes. moreover, the plane consume thousand litres of fuel in one time and it will also benefits to non-renewable resources, as their usage will be decline and can be saved for the future needs. while, the plane take off it creates massive noise and it became difficult of residents living near the airport and also leads to numerous diseaes and rarely they lose their hearing power, by reducing the plane usage, it can give peace from the noise and can easily focus o their work withouany noise or disturbance. for instances, In africa, the pollutionis increasing on regular basis, most prominent reason is the use planes frequently and then people realised that they are depleting the enivironment and make problems to other human beings, so there citizens decided to restrict the use planes and it creates several problems.

another worth considering it carries many benefits but their limitation cannot be ignored, when there will use other menas of transportation instead of planes, they firstly have to arrive before the time because other means of transportation like railways take lot of time reach at the destination and it is not much comfortable for long journeys as compared to plane. moreover, as per the businesses, this trend create numbers of problems because they travel constantly for the business meeting all over the world and it can also effect badly on the economy of the particular country.

in conclusion, according to my point of view, it bestow numerous benefits to environment, as it clean the environment and chances of disease would be reduced. consequently, it also reudce the usage of crucial resources such as diesel or petrol used by the planes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the position is somewhat obscured by mechanical phrasing in the introduction ('This essay not only has myriad of benefits...'), and some ideas are repetitive or under-developed. For instance, the example provided about Africa is vague and lacks clear context. While the core arguments regarding emissions, non-renewable resources, travel time, and business impacts are relevant, the overall development tends to over-generalise and lacks precise support, placing the response comfortably within Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement and attempts a logical progression, moving from environmental pros to disadvantages. However, paragraphing and mechanical referencing heavily disrupt the flow. The introduction is poorly structured, and transitions between sentences rely on repetitive, lowercase connectors such as 'commencing with most salient reason, initially' and 'another worth considering it carries many benefits'. Furthermore, referencing is frequently unclear, as seen in the phrase 'when there will use other means of transportation', which impedes smooth reading. Overall, cohesion is faulty and mechanical, characteristic of Band 5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts less common vocabulary ('plethora of pros', 'non-renewable resources', 'myriad of benefits'), but control is weak, resulting in frequent word choice and collocation errors (e.g., 'plane consume thousand litres of fuel', 'leads to numerous diseaes', 'effect badly on the economy'). Spelling and morphological errors are also present ('individulas', 'diseaes', 'withouany', 'enivironment', 'reudce'). While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the general message, these persistent inaccuracies constrain the score to Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak throughout. There are fundamental errors in sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and tense consistency, such as 'the use transport has changes frequently' and 'while the plane take off it creates massive noise'. Capitalisation at the beginning of sentences and proper nouns is largely ignored. Punctuation is often faulty, creating run-on sentences and comma splices. Because frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and impede comprehension, the grammar performance aligns with Band 5.
