Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people have decided to fly less often in every year or to stop flying together. I believe that the eviornment benefits for this development can easily outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. As flyling less often reduces that consumption of crude oil and reduces the air polution. While if effects individuals and businesses in their works and daily life plans.
Reducing the number of air tarvels can helps reduce the consumption of oil and air polultion in the environment. This is because travelling usually through out the air effect the eco system while making air poluted. For instance as the International travels increases these days it is a reason for climate change a multiple part of the world catering unusual weather conditions. This suggests that reducing the number of travel time reducing the year can be beneficial for eviornment. Additionally the consumptions of curde oil also decreases which is also impacting the enviornment.
On the other hand, the individuals and businesses involved internationally due to their work or business can face a negative impact on their lives and growth. This is because individuals faces alot of circumstances if they are not available physically available at their workplace. For instance people working with multinational brands can have a risk of their jobs if they are not present in the meetings. This suggests that reducing number of travels has a negative impact on individuals and businesses growth.
In conclusion, I believe that the environmental benefits of reducing air travel outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. As the healthy enviornment is essential for every living creature on earth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses regarding reduced air travel. A clear position is stated in the introduction and maintained throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, such as the reduction of crude oil consumption and air pollution, alongside the professional risks of not attending meetings in person. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the explanation regarding climate change and crude oil remains superficial rather than fully extended with deep supporting details. Nevertheless, all parts of the task are addressed, earning a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is arranged into four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a logical overall structure. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical, as seen in fragmented sentence structures and abrupt transitions like 'This is because travelling usually through out the air effect the eco system'. Paragraphing is present and appropriate, but the flow is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing and referencing errors, placing this performance at Band 5.5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate basic ideas on the topic, featuring terms like 'crude oil', 'multinational brands', and 'climate change'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'eviornment', 'flyling', 'air polultion', and 'tarvels'. The writer attempts less common vocabulary but lacks precision, frequently misspelling common words or miscollocating terms (e.g., 'reduce the number of travel time reducing the year'). These errors do not completely impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Reducing the number of air tarvels can helps'), fragment sentences ('As flyling less often reduces that consumption...'), and prepositional errors. Punctuation and sentence boundary errors are also noticeable throughout the text. While the basic meaning can be understood, the high frequency of errors across sentence structures prevents the response from achieving a higher band, justifying a score of 5.0.
