Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few people have decided that they will limit the number of flights which they take every year and also to stop flying altogether. The main advantage is that people will save alot of their money if they limit their flights and ultimately they can use that money to strenghtn their financial life but,if people will limit their flights the airlines can face financial crisis and also people will get fad up from their daily routine.People should limit their flights because it can save alot of money but, people should also keep this in consideration that they should fly twice or thrice in a year to a new country inorder to gain new experience and see a new culture.
If people reduce the flights they take every year it will be good for the enviournmental surrounding.Because when a normal commercial takes off it produces a large amount of Cloroflorocarbons (CFCs) in the atmosphere which are reallly harmful for human health. If people will limit the flights they take every year they can not only protect the enviournment rather, they can also save aloth of money. If individual will do this they can save money for bad times and can also protect the surrounding.
The main disadvantages that individual will face is that if they will not fly to other countries and shall not see the cultural diversity of the world .For instance it will ultimately make their minds convervative and suffociated to the places where they go . Another reason that will be a disadvantage is that they will not see their loved ones and family members who live in a different country. These are the main disadvantages which people will face.
In conclusion, some people say that they shall limit the number of flights they take every year and they will fly together. There are some disadvantages and advantages of this act the main advantage is that it will help to protect our surrounding and will save individual's money and main disadvantage is that it will make the mind of individual's conservative.I would say that people should take flights in modernity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response attempts to address all parts of the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the point regarding saving money is mentioned multiple times without being significantly extended. Additionally, the position is slightly confused in the conclusion where the phrasing 'fly together' appears out of context, and the argument lacks a fully clear overarching standpoint on whether the benefits truly outweigh the disadvantages. Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth of discussion places it comfortably in the mid-range of the descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing a basic attempt at structural organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is somewhat disjointed. Cohesive devices are often misused, overly repetitive (such as starting multiple sentences with 'if people'), or absent where needed, leading to mechanical transitions. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, and punctuation errors (such as missing spaces after commas and periods) disrupt the flow and readability of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with words like 'money', 'flights', and 'advantages' reappearing frequently throughout the text. There are several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'alot' (instead of 'a lot'), 'strenghtn' (strengthen), 'fad up' (fed up), 'enviournment' (environment), 'Cloroflorocarbons' (chlorofluorocarbons), 'convervative' (conservative), and 'suffociated' (suffocated). These errors occasionally cause strain for the reader and reflect a limited vocabulary range that struggles with precision and correct collocation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, frequently relying on conditional clauses starting with 'if'. However, these complex structures are often faulty and prone to run-on sentences or comma splices, such as in the opening paragraph. Grammatical errors are frequent, including tense inconsistencies, missing prepositions, and incorrect verb forms. While the basic meaning can usually be discerned, the high frequency of errors across basic and complex sentences restricts the score to this band.
