Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued that constantly choosing the mean of transportation by flying should be caped for the Calender year on the other hand to completely eleminate the flying of traveling.

since the world is rapidly bringing the enviromental sustainabilty into consideration as governments are emphasizing to control the carbon footprints of several organizations ranging from low scale businesses to Multinatonal companies and industries to limit the pollution of air, water and sound. The transporation is also a very crucial element to be looked into as it benefits massive amount of people and provide a fast and convenient way of moving from one place to another. Apart from the tremendous amount of convenience it also affects the eco- system by pollution due to combustion and smoke also the sound which contributes to sound pollution.

Municipalities can control the amount of injurious gases and chemicals that are emitted by different types of Vehicles to control the damage caused by them and move towards electron-Volt vehicles which are relatively less harmful for Biodiversity.

In my opinion I tend to support the ideology of not completely forbidding the use of vehicles however; Caping its limit of emission of gases and chemicals into the environment to save the convenience and the Planet

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The student attempts to address the prompt regarding the environmental benefits and disadvantages of reducing air travel, but the response is severely limited by a length of only 208 words, falling well short of the 250-word minimum requirement. Furthermore, the position is somewhat confusingly stated, blending ideas about flying with general vehicle emissions towards the end. While the writer touches on both convenience and environmental concerns, the ideas are under-developed and lack specific examples. Based on the band descriptors, this falls into Band 5 as it addresses the task only partially and the position is not always clear.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays some overall organization with separate paragraphs for different thoughts, but the logical progression is frequently disrupted. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, such as starting a sentence with 'since the world is rapidly bringing...' without a clear main clause following immediately, and abrupt transitions like 'Apart from the tremendous amount of convenience...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final conclusion and body paragraphs blur the distinction between air travel and general land transportation, causing confusion. Referencing is sometimes unclear. These features align closely with Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include spelling errors such as 'mean' instead of 'means', 'caped' instead of 'capped', 'Calender' instead of 'calendar', and 'eleminate' instead of 'eliminate'. There is also unnatural collocation, such as 'electron-Volt vehicles' instead of electric vehicles. While the student attempts some less common terms like 'Multinatonal companies', the frequent lexical and spelling errors place this securely in Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on a limited range of structures, with many sentences being overly long, run-on, or grammatically incomplete. For instance, the opening sentence 'It is often argued that constantly choosing the mean of transportation by flying should be caped for the Calender year on the other hand to completely eleminate the flying of traveling.' is a single, poorly structured run-on sentence. Punctuation is frequently misused, and frequent grammatical errors cause difficulty for the reader, particularly with subject-verb agreement and clause structures. This matches the Band 5 descriptor criteria.
