Student answer (Band 5.0)
In contemporay era, travel is the biggest need for every individual despite the reason. Some people decide lessen the number of fly each year or to stop flying with families. In this eassy, I will discuss philosphy behind this question along with weigh of advantages and disadvantages.
One one hand, less number of flights wheather national or international have a great benefit to environment that airplanes will produce less pollution in sky and will not disturb or interept the ecosystem. People use different means of transport to go to airport that also increase pollution in the atmosphere. Less number of flights means less pollution and more flights means more drastic effect on environment eventually less flights will have huge benefits on atmosphere.
Despite this, air line bussiness may have some disadvantages of getting less number of flights. Number of pasangers travel by different air line companies shows the popullarity of that company in addition such air lines improves their services according to the travel time and the percentage of passangers. Less number of flights each year will give some adverse effects on these airlines abd eventually their services and facilities will goes drop. Furthermore, this decrease in flight number will effect the country economy and ultimately it will bring the coutry behind other countries.
In conclusion, decrease in number of fly or stop fly altogether has great adisadvantage on bussiness and population rather than advantage on the environment. People should have to balance the fly according to their need

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for businesses and individuals, presenting a clear position in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial and repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs where points regarding pollution and airline revenue are restated rather than deeply extended with specific examples. Additionally, it is important to note the negative impact of the word count: the response contains 249 words, narrowly missing the 250-word minimum requirement. This under-length shortfall directly penalises the task achievement score, as it prevents full development and results in a Band 5 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays a logical overall structure, following a traditional four-paragraph format consisting of an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct themes. However, cohesion is often faulty and mechanical. The writer relies on basic and repetitive transitional markers such as 'One one hand,' 'Despite this,' and 'Furthermore.' Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as the ambiguous pronoun use and repetitive sentence beginnings. While there is a clear organizational framework, the mechanical nature of the cohesive devices and occasional lapses in logical progression limit the essay to a Band 5 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and displays noticeable errors. The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive, utilizing words like 'big need,' 'pollution,' and 'bussiness.' There are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'contemporay' instead of contemporary, 'lessen' instead of to lessen, 'fly' used as a noun instead of flights, 'wheather' instead of whether, 'interept' instead of intercept, 'pasangers' instead of passengers, 'abd' instead of and, 'coutry' instead of country, and 'adisadvantage' instead of disadvantage. These errors, along with awkward collocations like 'services will goes drop,' restrict the lexical range and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, placing this aspect at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but these attempts are frequently faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('In contemporay era'), incorrect verb forms ('Some people decide lessen'), subject-verb agreement issues ('services will goes drop'), and faulty prepositional usage. Punctuation is also weak, with missing commas in introductory clauses. Although the basic meaning can usually be understood, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies means that error-free sentences are in the minority, corresponding to a Band 5 score.
