Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the recent era of growing climate awareness, to prevent the number of times, few things are more crucial than the environmental benefits of this development. In many developed and developing countries, a substantial amount of money and efforts is allocated to environmental programs, as it is often necessitates the use of various resources such as technology, international expertise, research centres, and monitoring systems. Nowadays, many would agree that contemporary society has transcended its traditional boundaries and will soon become boundless in its pursuit of environmental reduction for the enrichment of individuals and businesses. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that environmental facilities of reducing their fly times all the year and relief flying altogether has both positive and negative impacts for business and residents.
Naturally, solving environmental problems in the form of development is to considered more essential for both local people and business. It as creates inexhaustible facilities for living standards that are not available from other sources. Moreover, this demonstrates unparalleled benefits for citizens and also businesses. On the other hand, there are several issues with reducing flying altogether solely on global solutions that lead us to consider alternatives. Under certain circumstances, governments shy away from international cooperation due to a range of challenges, such as natinal interests, financial limitations, political disagreements, and unequal responsibilities among countries. While global agreements are widely embraced, many developing nations frequently contend with profound with resource shortages and domestic pressures when striving to implement international commitments. Therefore, the notion of stoping flying altogether its benefits for individuals and businesses is not always appealing but remains understandable.
In conclusion, it is the responsibility of governments to evaluate the role of environmental benefits to determine whether depending exclusively on one approach will do more harm than good. Thus, it is evident that fostering an interest in this, where nations address domestic environmental issues while participating in global solutions, is far more beneficial.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student attempts to address the prompt regarding the environmental benefits and disadvantages of reducing air travel, stating an opinion that there are both positive and negative impacts. However, the development of ideas is severely hindered by unclear phrasing, tangential concepts such as 'Paris climate agreement', and repetitive assertions. Key terms from the prompt, such as 'individuals and businesses', are mentioned generally, but the actual weighing of environmental benefits against disadvantages for these groups lacks clear, focused argumentation. Consequently, the response achieves a Band 5 because the task is addressed only partially, and the position, while stated, becomes obscured by convoluted expressions and underdeveloped arguments throughout the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs with a clear structural layout including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing logic, such as the sudden pivot from climate awareness to financial allocations in paragraph one. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misapplied, leading to a lack of smooth flow between sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly with pronouns like 'it' and 'this' referring to vague antecedents. Paragraphing is present, but the internal cohesion of the arguments struggles to maintain a clear path of reasoning.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used demonstrates an attempt to incorporate sophisticated or academic terms, such as 'contemporary society', 'inexhaustible facilities', and 'unprecedented benefits'. However, these terms are frequently used incorrectly or in unnatural collocations, such as 'prevent flying altogether it imperative' and 'profound with resource shortages'. There are notable lexical inaccuracies and awkward phrasings that obscure the intended meaning. While the student attempts a wider range of vocabulary, control is weak, and spelling or word-choice errors frequently emerge, aligning the lexical performance with Band 5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is inconsistent. There are numerous grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('it is often necessitates'), fragment sentences ('It as creates'), and faulty clause structures ('the notion of stoping flying altogether its benefits'). Punctuation and preposition usage also show recurring errors, such as 'profound with resource shortages' and 'natinal interests'. Although some sentences are understandable, the high frequency of grammatical mistakes and awkward phrasings causes difficulty for the reader and prevents the writing from reaching a higher band.
