Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the recent era of growing climate awareness, to prevent the number of times, few things are more crucial than the environmental benefits of this development. In many developed and developing countries, a substantial amount of money and effort is allocated to environmental programs, as it often necessitates the use of various resources such as technology, international expertise, research centres, and monitoring systems. Nowadays, many would agree that contemporary society has transcended its traditional boundaries and will soon become boundless in its pursuit of environmental reduction for the enrichment of individuals and businesses. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that environmental facilities of reducing their fly times all the year and relief flying altogether has both positive and negative impacts for business and residents.
Naturally, solving environmental problems in the form of development is considered more essential for both local people and business. It creates inexhaustible facilities for living standards that are not available from other sources. Moreover, this demonstrates unparalleled benefits for citizens and also businesses. It is permeating and enhancing every conceivable sector of society. Since people seek development and fulfillment through the preventing of flying altogether it imperative to elevate modern living standards. It is adopted by governments and individuals alike, many people stand to benefit significantly. In nations such as Paris, climate agreement, for instance, have emerged as pivotal models for uniting nations and delivering enhanced environmental protections.
On the other hand, there are several issues with reducing flying altogether solely on global solutions that lead us to consider alternatives. Under certain circumstances, governments shy away from international cooperation due to a range of challenges, such as natinal interests, financial limitations, political disagreements, and unequal responsibilities among countries. While global agreements are widely embraced, many developing nations frequently contend with profound resource shortages and domestic pressures when striving to implement international commitments. Therefore, the notion of stopping flying altogether and its benefits for individuals and businesses is not always appealing but remains understandable.
In conclusion, it is the responsibility of governments to evaluate the role of environmental benefits to determine whether depending exclusively on one approach will do more harm than good. Thus, it is evident that fostering an interest in this, where nations address domestic environmental issues while participating in global solutions, is far more beneficial.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding the environmental benefits and disadvantages of reducing air travel. However, the student struggles to maintain a clear and fully relevant focus throughout the essay. Phrases like 'environmental facilities of reducing their fly times' and abrupt shifts to discussing international climate agreements (e.g., Paris climate agreement) and government resource shortages diverge from the specific impacts of reduced flying on individuals and businesses. While a position is stated in the introduction, the development of ideas often relies on vague generalisations and stock phrases rather than well-supported arguments directly connected to the core question. Consequently, the task is addressed only partially, aligning with Band 5 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, providing a basic overall structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by unclear referencing and abrupt transitions. For instance, the transition from discussing societal development to international agreements lacks a smooth logical bridge. Cohesive devices are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately, such as 'Nevertheless' and 'Therefore', which fail to accurately signal the logical relationship between sentences. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion is weak, resulting in an overall arrangement that corresponds to Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts to use some elevated vocabulary, such as 'contemporary society', 'inexhaustible facilities', and 'unprecedented benefits', but these terms are frequently misused or placed in unnatural collocations. There are notable lexical inaccuracies throughout the text, such as 'reducing their fly times', 'relief flying altogether', and 'natinal interests' (spelling error). The vocabulary is often repetitive ('development', 'environmental', 'benefits') and lacks the precision required for higher band levels. Because the errors in word choice and collocation occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, the response fits Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but many of the complex constructions contain severe grammatical errors or are structurally incomplete. Examples include 'to prevent the number of times, few things are more crucial than' and 'Since people seek development and fulfillment through the preventing of flying altogether it imperative to elevate modern living standards.' Punctuation and missing copular verbs or prepositions frequently impede readability. While there are a few correct simpler sentences, frequent errors in grammar and clause structure mean the performance is best described by Band 4.5, rounded to Band 5.
