Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people have committed to deduct number of times they fly every year or to avoid flying altogether. I believe that it is unrealistic for those who has big empire of their business, all over the nation.

Firstly, readuce the flight traveling is damaging the business beacuse it can stop people to reach the destination in very less time. For instance, if a person has to visit frequantly by flight for their meeting, conference call, business expo that time it creat problem to them. Moreover they prefer travel by road or train then they used to left twice day before. However, it can plunged the global warming and beneficial for environment by avoiding the flight, due to plan our atmosphere phase so much problem with air pollution. As a result, it can affect the farmers by significant amount of rain fall.

Secondly, the owner of aeroplan affect the most because their business was running on society. The maintainance become difficult due to less amount of income. Furthermore, in case of emergency people use to take flight which is more convientient and less time cosuming. For example, the upper middle and rich class community will not think about the pollution and environmental damage, they only think about their personality. Meanline there are many individual who want healthy life and for that govenment should take one step towards the good environment. They should start giving limited fly in entire year which can be more beneficial for both economically and environmentally.

In conclusion, few individuals thinks that is more beneficial to stop traveling by flight for our healthy life style, while other think is disadvantage for business. Whereas government should initiate first with the help of advertising about pollution.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses, presenting a clear overall position. The ideas are relevant, such as mentioning business travel and the environmental impact on farming. However, the development is somewhat limited and parts of the argument are under-developed or vague, such as the mention of the upper-middle and rich class community thinking only about their personality. While the position is stated, the supporting arguments lack depth and clear elaboration. Consequently, the task response aligns best with Band 5.5 descriptors, as it addresses all parts of the task but features under-developed ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into logical paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' are used to signal the structure. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, sentences like 'Moreover they prefer travel by road or train then they used to left twice day before' are confusing and lack smooth integration. Paragraphing is attempted, but overall cohesion is strained by awkward phrasing and unclear pronoun referencing. This places the response firmly at Band 5.0 for Coherence and Cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, including terms like 'environmental benefits', 'air pollution', and 'global warming'. However, there are frequent word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'deduct number of times' instead of 'reduce the number of times', 'readuce the flight traveling', 'plunged the global warming', and 'owner of aeroplan'. Spelling mistakes are also present, such as 'frequantly', 'creat', 'cosuming', and 'Meanline'. The vocabulary is minimally adequate for the task, but noticeable inaccuracies occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but many of these attempts are faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('those who has big empire'), tense inconsistencies ('their business was running'), and incorrect prepositions or verb forms ('stop people to reach', 'go and for that govenment should take one step'). Punctuation and article usage are also weak in places. Because the frequent grammatical errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent fluent comprehension, the performance corresponds to a Band 5.0 in grammar.
