Student answer (Band 5.0)
In past two centuries particularly, treavling is in much demad and has increased drastically which has raise debaits regarding criticism on flying. while some people has decided not to travel through air other has reduced it but does limiting traveling make people and businesses suffer more is yet to adressed. In my point of view people cancling air travel are harming themselfs more than benifiting environment. In this eassy i will discuss both benefits of this approach on environment and drawbacks on indivudals and businesses. we have no choice but to think and move fast
Firstly, limiting frequency of moving through air will have possitive changes on environment but only if it is followed bu masses. Smove from airplains is causing air pollution in upper atmosphere which is in acessable by pollutnets on earth surface. Accomulation of these pollutants causes acidic rain which ruins buildings and crops. Reduced use of airpain will facilitate overall environment and air born creatures like birds as excessive use of raidars and singals emmiting devices has harm diversity and distribution of birds and are major cause of mortality also.
On the other hand, There are drastic drawbacks to businesses and people how tends to stop flying as with modrenity of times socities are moving fast and apportunities are widespreaded across globe. People unvilling to travel through air will miss major events and oppertunities in there life by not being on time or even with no chance of reaching. World today is fast and ruthless to compete with it one should have to be faster too.
In conclousin, todays world is world of supply and demand. In a world were brain drain is an active survival sill how would one will compete when he has no mean to travel between continents except flying

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages of reducing air travel for individuals and businesses, presenting a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and lacks robust, well-elaborated examples. For instance, the discussion on air pollution and acidic rain remains quite general without concrete evidence or specific contexts. Furthermore, some arguments transition abruptly without full exploration, such as the mention of bird mortality due to radar and signaling devices. The stance is maintained throughout the essay, but the overall depth of task response aligns best with Band 5.5 to 6.0. Awarded a band 5.5 for limited idea extension and minor under-development in places.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization with recognizable introduction, body, and conclusion sections, though the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor paragraphing and missing punctuation. For example, the introduction runs directly into the first body paragraph without a proper line break, and sentences often run together without adequate terminal punctuation. Cohesive devices are used, but they tend to be mechanical or repetitive, such as 'Firstly' and 'On the other hand'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, which strains the logical flow for the reader. These organizational and transitional limitations place the response firmly in the Band 5 category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary suitable for discussing environmental and business topics. There are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, including 'treavling', 'demad', 'raise debaits', 'cancling', 'selfs', 'benifiting', 'eassy', 'indivudals', 'acessable', 'Accomulation', 'airpain', 'air born', 'modrenity', 'apportunities', 'unvilling', 'oppertunities', 'conclousin', 'were', and 'sill'. While these errors are numerous and noticeable, the underlying meaning remains mostly decipherable. Less common vocabulary is attempted with varied success. This performance reflects the descriptors for Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing shows a heavy reliance on simple sentences alongside poorly controlled complex structures. There is a frequent absence of correct punctuation, leading to run-on sentences and missing capital letters at the beginnings of sentences and proper names. Numerous grammatical errors occur, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'while some people has decided' and 'how tends to stop flying', as well as article omissions and preposition errors. The frequency of these grammatical and punctuation errors causes difficulty for the reader and prevents the response from reaching a higher band, fitting the Band 5 criteria well.
