Student answer (Band 5.0)

Most of persons are willing to flying individually more for there business porposes and some believe that they fly with family or friends in whole year for sake of trip or tour but according to my prospective people should do fly with there business purposes not for there own adventure bucause airbus consume fossil fuel which are distroy and environmental effect are also cause by burning of fuel.

As fossil fuel is natural resource which can not be create more and we should reverve it by oen effort as aeroplanes used these fuel and if we waste it by unusual trip by trip or adventure or exploring world it will be utilized more and last one day it will end while opportunity to travel with air is to utilized in case of business meeting or purposes which can help to grow global opportunities and internation relationships which is neccessary for peace of countries.

As unsual waste ejected from aeroplanes damage the atmosphere and cause many problems and deseases which damage biodeversity and increase pollution in atmosphere while susutainability is effected by these smoke comes from airbuses while human resources are also used for unusual concern so these opportunity travel with air should be only for persons or people who are actally need to do some usefull thing and purpose and make sure to travel as less as they can.

While for benifit of international sustanibility and long lasting of this world we should avoid extra and useless tour so leave flying altogather which harm our eco ystem and and there habiitate which are badly effected

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task partially, attempting to weigh the environmental benefits against the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. The writer presents a clear position that flying should be limited to essential business purposes to protect the environment and conserve natural resources. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, while the writer mentions that air travel fosters international relationships and global opportunities, this point is not sufficiently extended or supported with specific examples. Similarly, the disadvantages for individuals and businesses are only touched upon superficially. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to fully develop all parts of the prompt with well-supported arguments and relevant explanations for both sides of the debate.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response demonstrates some overall organisation, with paragraphs dedicated to introducing the topic, discussing resource conservation, and considering environmental impacts. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the ideas can feel repetitive, particularly regarding the need to restrict flights to business purposes. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often inadequate or repetitive, with sentences frequently linked by basic conjunctions like 'and' or 'as'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow within paragraphs is weak. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact line of argument. To improve, the writer should employ a wider and more accurate range of cohesive devices and ensure each paragraph has a clear thematic focus that advances the argument logically.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The writer attempts some less common and topic-specific vocabulary items, such as 'fossil fuel', 'biodiversity', and 'sustainability', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form, including 'porposes', 'distroy', 'reverve', 'oen', 'deseases', and 'susutainability'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling errors cause some difficulty for the reader and impede smooth communication. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical range and improve accuracy in spelling and word formation, ensuring that less common vocabulary is used correctly and appropriately in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on long, run-on sentences joined by conjunctions rather than a controlled mix of simple and complex forms. There are frequent errors in grammar, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'Most of persons are willing to flying', incorrect verb forms such as 'should do fly', missing articles, and awkward prepositions within grammatical patterns. Punctuation is also weak, contributing to overly long sentences that lack internal clarity. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader. To reach the next level, the writer needs to produce a greater variety of error-free sentences, improve command over basic sentence structures, and exercise better control of grammatical rules and punctuation.
