Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some of the people reduce travelling through air. Or they stop flying together. It has good effect on environment and the weather, But it also has some disadvantage it effects the airlines business and also, It has bigger effect on economy of that country.
Firstly, The main advantage of the less flight in travelling is that it avoids global warming. When there is less flight there are less traffic and less carbon monoxide that has large effect on the climate, If there is good climate and peace full environment that has good impression on the health of the humans. It also helps us to reach to our destination in less time and easier to travel.
Another advantage is that when people make limited travelling there is less expense, So it is also help full there also. The Prices of ticket are also down.
And it also has some disadvantages; The main issue is for the owner of Airlines and the government also because there are a lot of workers are attached to that field to run the daily expenses some of the other businesses are related to it. like restaurants on airport and the taxi drivers that travel to airport through that and the staff of airport and the staff of airlines, It also effects the economy of the country very effectively. and it's quite expensive.
According to myself I prefer to travel though the airlines, Because it helps me to save my money and time and it reach to my destination peacefully and comfortable way. It also helps with our economy. rather than we reduce the number of flights we make we have to find the solution for that problem. This is not the solution to leave flying.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages of reducing air travel, but the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion of economic impacts mentions airline owners, airport workers, and restaurants, but these points are expressed superficially without sufficient extension or support. The writer's position is discernible towards the end where personal preference and the need to find alternative solutions are stated, yet this stance lacks clarity and consistent support throughout the body paragraphs. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to ensure that every main idea is fully extended with relevant explanations and specific examples rather than merely listed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organisation with paragraph breaks representing introduction, body points, and a conclusion, but the essay lacks clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are used, but they are frequently inaccurate, mechanical, or repetitive, such as the frequent starting of sentences with 'And', 'Also', or 'Firstly'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making the logical flow between sentences disjointed. For instance, transitional phrases between paragraphs do not smoothly connect the environmental benefits to the economic drawbacks. To achieve a stronger flow, the writer must employ a wider and more accurate range of cohesive devices and ensure that each paragraph builds logically upon the previous one without relying on repetitive connective words.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'global warming', 'carbon monoxide', and 'economy', but there are numerous lexical and word choice inaccuracies throughout the text. Examples include 'travelling through air' instead of 'air travel', 'stop flying together' instead of 'altogether', 'less flight' instead of 'fewer flights', and 'help full' instead of 'helpful'. Spelling and word form errors are present, such as 'peace full' and 'expensice'. To improve this criterion, the student must expand their range of vocabulary, pay closer attention to word formation and collocations, and eliminate basic spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, while attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, and pluralisation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of these frequent errors include 'Some of the people reduce travelling' (unnecessary article usage and awkward phrasing), 'there are less traffic' (subject-verb agreement error with uncountable nouns), 'it has some disadvantage it effects' (run-on sentence with incorrect verb form 'effects' instead of 'affects'), and 'it reach to my destination' (incorrect subject-verb agreement and prepositional use). To progress, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over basic sentence boundaries, subject-verb agreement, and incorporate a greater variety of accurate complex sentence forms.
