Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been observed that there has been a significant decrease in the amount of time people travel through air with some people even stopped flying altogether, which is particularly because of the development in the digital technologies. This factor also have several environmental benefits with not that much affect on the business or individual operations.
International businesses usually requires travelling to different countries to understand the market gap, need of the people or simply to have a meeting with your dealer in that specific country. Now people can simply have such meetings virtually which has reduced the need of flying to that country, specifically leading to a massive reduction in fuel consumption. To support this, I have been doing international dropshipping since 2020 and I used to travel every year to simply meet my Chinese dealer but now I can easily have my research on internet and can meet him virtually over video call or simply online meeting. This has been saving me a big amount of traveling money and reduce fuel consumption for travelling through my private jet with no impact on my annual revenue.
The benefits of this development on environment is clearly on the upper side as the 2026 data shows the decrease in fuel consumption, preservation of natural habitants, lesser accidents of birds over air and many more. With respect to this, businesses have been shown their usual growth while individuals preserving natural sights.
In conclusion, there has been very little to no disadvantage to individuals or businesses who have reduces the number of times they fly every year with several positive impacts on the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task, presenting a clear position on whether the environmental benefits of reducing air travel outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are generally relevant, but some are more fully developed than others. For instance, the paragraph discussing the environmental benefits touches on fuel consumption, natural habitats, and bird safety, but remains somewhat general without sufficient elaboration on how these outweigh the specific socio-economic downsides for businesses. Similarly, the personal example regarding international dropshipping is relevant, though the mention of traveling through a 'private jet' is a slightly exaggerated detail that detracts from typical individual experiences, keeping the development at a moderate level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing different angles, and a logical conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate the discussion on business impacts, environmental pros, and the final summary. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty, such as in transitions like 'To support this' or 'With respect to this,' which feel slightly forced. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as ambiguous pronoun use in phrases like 'This factor also have several environmental benefits,' where the precise link to the preceding clause could be smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'virtual meetings,' 'dropshipping,' and 'preservation of natural habitants.' However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form throughout the text. Examples include 'amount of time people travel through air' instead of 'air travel frequency,' 'affect' instead of 'effect,' 'requires travelling' instead of 'require travelling,' and 'natural habitants' instead of 'habitats.' Despite these inaccuracies, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the message and communication is rarely impeded.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The text displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at varied syntactic structures. However, there are several errors in grammar and punctuation that prevent a higher rating. Examples of grammatical lapses include subject-verb agreement issues ('this factor also have,' 'businesses have been shown their usual growth'), prepositional errors ('research on internet' instead of 'on the internet'), and tense shifts. While these errors occur regularly throughout the response, they rarely impede overall communication, allowing the reader to follow the argument without significant difficulty.
