Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the modern time best way of transportation is by flying which is very fast way to reach the destination. However, many individual have decide to decrease the number of taking flight every year or denied to fly altogather because of environmental care. The pros are clearly outweigh the cons, which discussed in upcoming paragraph with examples.
Aeroplanes are fastest way to transportation but some people denied to travell by planes, First and for most reason why people decreased number of times they fly is that they care about envirnment. They think aeroplanes use large amount of fuel and it cause large amount of emmiting of the carbon dioxied gas in air which impacts on say layers like ozone layer. Moreover, it is one of the reason of birds extition because of pollution and fear. Bird are scared because of plane's sound.
Secondly, poeple lows the use of aeroplanes because they are very costly and some of flight tickets are in thousands of dollar. Furthermore, mankind don not want to travell by flight because they have fear and some medical issues. These are the reasons of not using flights but top most reason is sky layers are getting polluted and also increase in sound pollution.
However, some mankind are using filghts oftenly because it is the fsatest way to reach the place where they hve work. These people are either a high networth individulas or a sport persons who takes flight rather than ship or a train because they want some private time from public. for instace, The Prime Ministers have to take fights because safty purpose and many athlits use planes because they are tired and want to reach destionation place very quickly.
Use of planes have both white and dark sides but there are personal opinion on it buy, I think that taking environmental resopsiblity is immportant

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt only partially, which limits its effectiveness. The writer attempts to discuss whether the environmental benefits of reducing air travel outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For example, while the text mentions environmental concerns like carbon emissions and ozone layer impact, the supporting points are brief and repetitive, such as stating that 'aeroplanes use large amount of fuel'. Furthermore, the position is not always clearly sustained throughout the essay, and some arguments blur personal reasons, like ticket costs and fear of flying, with broader business or individual disadvantages without sufficient elaboration. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to fully extend and support each main idea with relevant explanations and clearer examples rather than relying on brief, generalized assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response demonstrates some organization, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Although paragraphing is attempted, the transitions between paragraphs and sentences feel mechanical and disjointed. For instance, moving from environmental concerns into ticket costs and personal fears within the same section lacks logical continuity. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or over-used, such as the repetitive use of transition words like 'Moreover' and 'Secondly' without smoothly connecting the underlying concepts. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, leaving the reader to deduce the connections between sentences. Achieving a more coherent structure will require careful sequencing of ideas, ensuring each paragraph has a singular focus, and employing a wider range of cohesive devices naturally to guide the reader through the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'high networth individulas' and 'environmental resopsiblity', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and word choice that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. For instance, words like 'altogather', 'extition', 'emmiting', and 'frequently' (spelled 'frequently' or 'oftenly') contain spelling or morphological mistakes. Furthermore, collocations are sometimes unnatural, such as 'sky layers are getting polluted'. To reach a higher standard, the writer must expand their lexical range, pay closer attention to spelling and word formation, and practice using precise academic collocations in appropriate contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response exhibits a limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences and basic coordination. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'many individual have decide' and 'Bird are scared', alongside missing or incorrect articles and prepositions, as seen in 'travell by planes' and 'for safty purpose'. Punctuation errors and run-on structures also appear toward the end of the essay. To improve in this area, the writer needs to practice constructing accurate complex sentences with subordinate clauses, carefully check subject-verb agreement, and monitor basic grammatical patterns such as pluralization and article usage.
