Student answer (Band 4.5)

As per my opinion yes reduce the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying altogether would play a postive impact on the environment.

Same like vehicles the aeroplane play a major contributions to pollute the envoirment .Many international campaign's also raise their voices against the pollution created by the aeroplane in the airspace.

The fuel used in the aeroplanes are very thick and the amount of pollution generates from the aeroplane emission create a negative impact on the environment.

The people who think by reducing number of flight of hour's of flight will will create the environment clean and green.

We have a great example of covid, during most of the flight operations are closed and the ozne layer get a massive time of 6 to 8 months to recover it damages from the aeroplanes and other mean of transportation pollution.

In a research we found that during covid pandemic the ozone layer recover it gap which is once damged by environment pollution.

Estimated number of flights take off from only dubai International airport in 35 thousand per year which is too much for single airline to contribute a massive pollution innthe enviirment. And there are massive number of flight operations taken place by airlines in the world. There is no policy from international aviation authority to control the number of hours and number flight by the people or airlines .

So in the end by reducing the number of time they fly or stop flying altogether will play a positive impact on the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

Please note that the response contains only 245 words, which fails to meet the minimum requirement of 250 words. Furthermore, 14 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Regarding the content, your response addresses the task only minimally. You state your position in the opening and closing sentences, and mention environmental impacts such as pollution and the ozone layer, but these ideas remain very limited and under-developed. For instance, the prompt asks whether the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses, yet you completely omit any discussion of the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. To improve, you must ensure you cover all parts of the prompt fully and extend your arguments with detailed explanations and relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

Your essay shows some basic organisation, opening with an introductory statement and concluding with a summary, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Instead of developing your points across structured paragraphs, you present a series of disjointed sentences that jump between topics, such as campaign voices, fuel types, and the COVID-19 pandemic, without smooth transitions. Furthermore, paragraphing is not used properly; the entire response is lumped into a single block of text rather than being divided into logical paragraphs for an introduction, body, and conclusion. Cohesive devices are either missing, inadequate, or repetitive, making the flow somewhat mechanical and difficult for the reader to follow easily.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive throughout the essay, relying heavily on simple words and frequent repetition of terms like 'aeroplane', 'pollution', 'environment', and 'flight'. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling—such as 'postive' instead of positive, 'envoirment' and 'enviirment' instead of environment, 'campaign's' instead of campaigns, and 'damged' instead of damaged. These lexical errors and spelling mistakes cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a limited, minimally adequate range of vocabulary. To move to a higher band, you need to use a wider variety of less common lexical items accurately and check your spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, relying mostly on basic sentence structures. When you attempt more complex constructions, they are frequently faulty, such as in the opening phrase 'As per my opinion yes reduce the number of times...'. You make frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the text, for example writing 'the aeroplane play' instead of aeroplanes play, 'pollution generates' instead of pollution generated, and 'ozne layer get a massive time... to recover it damages' instead of its damages. Punctuation errors are also present. These frequent errors distract the reader and can occasionally distort your intended meaning.
