Student answer (Band 5.5)

The growing influence of travelling by planes every year and its impact on environment and businesses on our lives has sparked various debates. This issue is particularly significant because of its impact on effecting both individuals and communities. In this essay, I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of reduce the number of fly every year.

One of the key benefit of this trend is reduce the pollution. This is evident by the fact that more people prefer to travel by planes because it take much less time then buses, trains and cars. Various of studies have shown that traveling by planes is more effect our envirnoment and warm the envirnoment by consuming large amount of fuel which demage our eco-system and also effects the ozone layer. Additionaly, another advantage of stop flying altogether is possibility to be safe from happening life securiety. Therefore the advantages of stop or reducing traveling by plain should be consirdered with greater significance.

However, alongside the benefits there are drawbacks of reducing or stop traveling by planes. One of the significant drawbacks is effecting individuals and businesses. This is particularly evident in a situation where country economy depends on businesses, because it directly effect the government. Another, drawback is facing finical problems while businesses need time. For example, If someone have an important meeting across the city or country,he or she has to reach on time to attent the meeting. Thus, it is essential to implement stratagies to address these issues effectively.

In conclusion, I believe that reduce the numbers of times of fly every yearor stop flying altogether this has benefits to the envirnoment and disadvantages to individuals and businesses, which should be consirdered. Moving forward, it is important to ensure benefits and positive outcomes for both individuals ans society as a whole.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question by mentioning reduced pollution and possible disadvantages for individuals and businesses, and your conclusion indicates that the environmental benefits come with costs. However, the position on whether the benefits outweigh those costs is not clearly stated: the conclusion says both should be considered without making a direct comparison. Several points are also unclear or insufficiently supported. For example, the claim that stopping flying improves “life security” is not explained, and the business and economic drawbacks are asserted rather than illustrated. The meeting example shows why air travel may be useful, but it does not establish the scale of the disadvantage. State your view explicitly and develop each main reason with a clear explanation or relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “However,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction of the argument. At times, though, connections between ideas are mechanical or unclear. “Another, drawback is facing financial problems while businesses need time” does not clearly explain how the point follows from the previous one, and “Therefore” introduces a conclusion that is difficult to connect to the preceding claims. Some references, such as “this trend” and “this issue,” are also broad. Make each paragraph progress through a clear claim, explanation, and example, and use linking phrases only where the relationship between ideas is precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “pollution,” “fuel,” “eco-system,” “government,” and “businesses,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make ideas difficult to understand. Phrases such as “the growing influence of travelling by planes,” “reduce the pollution,” and “life securiety” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors, including “envirnoment,” “demage,” and “finical,” are also noticeable. Aim for precise, familiar expressions before trying more ambitious wording; for example, describe aviation’s environmental impact directly and use standard forms such as “financial” and “environment.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional example beginning “If someone have an important meeting” and a clause introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. Examples include “it take much less time,” “One of the key benefit,” and “the advantages of stop or reducing.” The opening sentence is also difficult to parse because its grammatical relationships are unclear. Work on matching subjects and verbs, using gerunds or infinitives consistently after verbs, and building complete, clearly connected clauses. Careful proofreading for sentence boundaries and punctuation would also improve readability.
