Student answer (Band 5.5)
A number people are choosing to reduce the travel time of every year or to stop flying compeletly. I believe that reducing flying time or stop is completely may have some positive impact on environment but their disadvanages to the individuals and busniesses are more than advantages.
The emission of toxic gasses such as carbondioxide from aeroplanes has a vital role in the air pollution, The polluton caused by air travel contributes in global warming and other environmental issue such as ozone layer depletion and every years there is huge increased notice in it. Due to these issue every year urban flooding incidents are happened which destroy the complete areas. For example, Three month before, in Nepal a big piece of glacier melted whcih lead to urban flooding in those areas and as a result 100 of people died and the complete village demolished.
The control of air travelling may control air pollution but reducing air travelling have many negative impact on people and their businesses. Air travelling plays important factor in reducing human time consumption. They complete their task on time and companies grow faster 100 of time more. If they stop or reduce flying time and starting the use of alternative terrestial transport such as busses or vehicles to travel from country to country or city to city which may takes days or hour of travellingFor example, If I am go to UAE from Pakistan for my meeting by buss, it may take 2-3 days of travelling but if I go there by aeroplane it just take 2 hours. It means it saves a lot my time and ultimately helpfull to faster my company progress.
In conclusion, reducng flying time or completely avoid the travelling by air may have some positive impact on environment but it have many negative impact on individual and busnisses perforamnce.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear position: the environmental gains are outweighed by disadvantages for individuals and businesses. The paragraph on pollution gives relevant support, including the link to emissions and an example of flooding in Nepal. You also explain how flying saves time for business travel, using the Pakistan–UAE journey to illustrate the point. However, the environmental example does not clearly establish that reduced flying would prevent the glacier melt or flooding, and the business argument is more fully explained than the effects on individuals. Develop the causal links and add a specific individual impact to make the response more balanced and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph on environmental effects, one on disadvantages, and a conclusion that restates your view. This gives the reader an overall progression, and examples are placed alongside the relevant arguments. Some connections are less clear, however. The shift from air pollution to flooding in Nepal is abrupt, and the long sentence beginning “If they stop or reduce flying time” combines several ideas without clear boundaries. Linking phrases such as “For example” help, but repeated use of “but” and “and” can make relationships feel mechanical. Use shorter sentences where ideas change, and make the cause-and-effect links explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “emission,” “air pollution,” “global warming,” “alternative terrestrial transport,” and “urban flooding,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “compeletly,” “disadvanages,” and “busniesses” are examples, while “reduce the travel time of every year” and “faster my company progress” are not natural expressions. There is also repetition of “air travelling” and “impact.” Build accuracy with common collocations before reaching for more complex wording, and proofread spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would make your argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure about travelling by bus and a relative clause describing the glacier. However, control is uneven, and several sentence patterns contain errors that can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “reducing flying time or stop is completely may have” has an unclear verb structure, while “every year urban flooding incidents are happened” uses an incorrect passive form. Agreement and verb forms also need attention in “it just take 2 hours” and “it have many negative impact.” The sentence beginning “If they stop or reduce flying time” is a fragment-like, overloaded construction. Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, and consistent verb forms, then check punctuation between ideas.
