Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some choose that dropping the number of times they take flight in an year, while some people totally stop flying altogether. i believe that, on balance, travelling on flights in minimum range of times a year depending on some factors is better.

On the one hand, people should take flights for long distance destinations and some people with physical issuse like above 50 age groups. For instance, travelling to a place which is 1000 km far from you through any other transport it might be train or own car etc., takes minimum of two days to reach the destination, however, not only it takes lot of time to travell but also, it can some times be challenging to old age people. For this reasons flying makes it easy to reach the destination in short period of time and can make less strain on our body.

On the other hand, stop flying altogether is not the better option for the destinations which are difficult to reach in short period of time through other transports and it can also effect the economy of the government in many ways. for example, a person has to reach a place within a day but it you decline to take a flight and travel by car which is 1000 km far, however you cannot reach on time and also it can make you stain by travelling that long in car, not only that the flight revenue pays a lot of taxes to government, so by people stoping to take a flight it can reduces the income to authorities, so it is better to minimise insted of stopping taking the flight.

In conclusion, taking flight helps to to reduce time and also strain on your body, so taking a filight when it is necessary can manage not only our workline balance but also improves the revenue of travel systen in many ways.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a relevant position: flying should be reduced rather than stopped, and you discuss convenience for travellers alongside possible economic effects. However, the response only partially answers the central comparison: it does not clearly explain whether the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages, and the environmental benefits themselves are barely discussed. The examples about a 1,000-km journey and older travellers support the convenience argument, but the claim that flight revenue benefits government is asserted rather than explained or evidenced. Your conclusion repeats the preference for flying when necessary without weighing the two sides. State your judgement directly and develop both the environmental gains and the costs to individuals and businesses with specific reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the main direction reasonably easy to follow. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from long-distance travel to older people without fully connecting these points, while the second combines travel delays, physical strain, and tax revenue in one extended sequence. Linking phrases such as “not only…but also” are repeated and sometimes awkwardly attached to the sentence. Use clearer topic sentences and separate distinct arguments, then make references such as “this development” or “these benefits” explicit so the reader can follow the comparison more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the basic ideas, including “destinations,” “revenue,” “taxes,” and “reduce.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “minimum range of times,” “flight revenue pays a lot of taxes,” and “workline balance.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “issuse,” “travell,” “stoping,” and “systen,” also make the writing less precise. Some repetition of “flight,” “travel,” and “time” further limits flexibility. Build a more accurate set of expressions for environmental impact and economic consequences, and check spelling and collocations carefully; this would make your meaning easier to understand without changing your core ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening and structures such as “not only…but also.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “For this reasons flying makes it easy” has an incorrect demonstrative and lacks punctuation, while “it can reduces the income” uses an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence is also a fragment-like construction, and several sentences run together with commas. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Proofread for capitalisation and punctuation as well as grammar.
