Student answer (Band 6.0)
Most of the people are choosing less fly or stop flying altogather because they are concern abput envrionment. Althought this decision can create difficulties for individual or bussiness but I believe that this benefits are greater.
There are some disadvantages for some people who reduce theri air travel. Peopl may want to meet their families or to travel to other counteries, but traveling by palne is a quikest way. If public stop flying, they may have to use trains, buses or cares, and these forms of transport can somtimes take much longer. For intance, some want to travel other country to spent holidays, so reducing flight may limit their oppertunities to visit new place.
Business can slo face some difficulties when employee stop flying. Many counteries have internatinal customer or have meetings, so their employee need to travel to other country for meeting. Face to face meeting can be useful, but businesses use vedio calls insteadc, which can reduce the need for flights.
However, reducing air travel can provide environmental benefits. Aeroplans produce a large amount of carbon emission and these emission contribute to climate change. If fewer people fly, so the amount of pllution may also reduce. Moreover, peopl can use trains or buses for shorter journies, because trains are more envrionmently friendly option.
In my opinion, environmental benefits outweigh the disadvatnges.Individuals may lose some convenience, but they can use alternative forms of transport when possible. Similerly, businesse may have fewer face to face meetings, but online meetings can save money and help them to communicate effectively
In conclusion, reducing air travle may effect some, but i believe it is a positive development becuase it reduce the pollution and help to protect the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the question and state a clear position: “I believe that this benefits are greater.” The response gives relevant disadvantages for individuals, such as longer journeys and fewer opportunities to visit places, and for businesses, including reduced face-to-face meetings. You then explain environmental gains through lower carbon emissions and alternatives such as trains. This covers the task well, but some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the business paragraph mentions video calls but does not show how they can replace travel in practice, while the environmental argument could explain more clearly why the benefits outweigh the specific costs discussed. Developing these comparisons and adding a concrete example would make the argument more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate discussion of individual and business disadvantages, an environmental-benefits paragraph, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking expressions such as “However,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the progression. This is a coherent arrangement, though some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “If fewer people fly, so the amount of pollution may also reduce” uses an awkward link, and the shift from business travel to video calls could be explained more smoothly. Some sentences also run together or have inconsistent spacing after punctuation, which interrupts the flow. Use clearer links between cause and result, and make sure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “carbon emission,” “climate change,” “face to face meeting,” and “alternative forms of transport,” so the main ideas are understandable. However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable throughout, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “altogather,” “envrionmently friendly,” “quikest,” and “reduce the pollution.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “public stop flying” and “travel other country.” Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for emissions, travel choices, and business communication would help you express the argument with greater clarity and flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If fewer people fly…” and contrast clauses such as “Although this decision can create difficulties…”. These attempts help you explain causes and opposing views. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “this benefits are greater” has a demonstrative and agreement problem, while “businesses use video calls instead” needs a clearer grammatical connection to the preceding idea. The conclusion also shifts awkwardly between “may effect” and “it reduce.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and complete sentence patterns. More accurate complex sentences would make your reasoning easier to follow.
