Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people have decided to reduce the number of times they fly every year. Yes this is the good way to protect the enviroment by less travel. But our economy directly proportion to the flying sector.

so we can not directly stop flying.

In the one hand, when we discuss the disadvantages of the flying is that it can pollute our enviroment by comsume jet fules and also increase the noise pollution. Due to this increase in the globel warming, and due to high flying more jets fules will be used and so many pollution factors should be associated with flying it also disturb the birds flying and other natural things.

On the other hand when we discuss about the advantages of the flying one of top is that it can play a vital role in country GDP because most of the trade can be done through airoplanes. and other is that it can reduce the travel time peoples can reached in maximum 24 hours in every country or continent. it will also helps the student to study abroad and as well as very important for bussinessmans to travel abroad and establish the bussniess and make a differents deals. one more important benefits of airlines is that it also used in the rescue operation, Because when we can not rescue by road we can rescue them by special aeroplanes. So flying is also so important.

In conclusion, reducing flying can make a difficulties for the bussinessmans and student and also tourisms but we think on it that pointless traveling can increase our globel warming.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the environmental effects and several disadvantages of reducing air travel, including impacts on trade, study, business and rescue operations. Your conclusion also gives a position: unnecessary travel should be reduced because it contributes to global warming. However, the answer does not consistently resolve the central comparison of whether environmental benefits outweigh the costs. The opening says flying cannot be stopped, while the conclusion supports reducing pointless travel, so your view needs to be stated more clearly and maintained. Several points, such as the effect on GDP and the role of flights in trade, are asserted rather than explained with a specific example or a clear link to the question. Develop the comparison and support your main reasons more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body sections signalled by “In the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion, so the reader can identify the broad structure. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow: the first body section moves from fuel use to noise, global warming and effects on birds without clearly connecting these points, while the second lists several benefits in quick succession. Some linking expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, and the conclusion introduces “pointless traveling” without clearly tying it to the earlier comparison. To improve, give each paragraph one main purpose, order supporting points logically, and use clear references and transitions to show how each idea supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “noise pollution,” “global warming,” “GDP,” “trade,” and “rescue operation,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “flying,” “important,” and “increase.” Frequent spelling and word-choice problems—such as “enviroment,” “comsume jet fules,” “globel warming,” and “bussniess”—make parts of the response harder to read. Some combinations are also unnatural, for example “our economy directly proportion to the flying sector” and “make a differents deals.” Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling; for instance, describe aviation as “closely linked to economic activity” and say that flights “facilitate international trade.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a cause-and-effect sequence beginning “Due to this increase in the globel warming,” and a contrast between the two sides of the issue. However, the longer structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence formation and verb patterns can make relationships unclear. Examples include “our economy directly proportion to the flying sector,” “it will also helps,” and “peoples can reached”; these need a verb such as “is directly linked,” “will also help,” and “people can reach.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the opening fragments and the run-on list of benefits. Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, articles and controlled complex sentences, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
