Student answer (Band 5.5)
Each and every year citizens took flights for it convenient traveling for several reasons such as holidays, family gathering, business purpose and for studies. Each year the population of flyng has gotten higher then before. Some realize the affect of flying did to environment.
On one hand flying provides with several benefits like time saving, more convienent than others, travelling wihout any worry of natural disasters etc. Many individuals caught u with urgent meetings and works which has been solve by flying. Some even gets new oppourtinity to study abords. For instants these past few dacades students studying abroad has increases due to ne oppourtinity and each year the airlines are packed with those youngs chasing their goals.
While on the other hand, research shows that flying over the decades has caused harm to the inviroment with pollutin such as noise polution, air pollution. Regarding those concern, some people decided to fly less or even no flying. Those residents believe that it is causing the nature harm which is not entirely wrong. Due to the increse in flying our enviroment and atmosphere has been affected which will eventually leads problems for humans, animals and plants. for example the last research shows the atmosphere layer is getting harm day by day whch is causing the global warming issue.
Overally, I agree on the favour of flying less regardless of the benefits of it due to the fact that little convienent is less concerning thing than saving the nature as well as saving the lives that can be dangered in the upcoming future years.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view in favour of reducing flights, and you recognise both the convenience of flying and its environmental costs. This is relevant to the question, but the comparison between benefits and disadvantages is only partly addressed: most of the discussion describes why people fly or the general harm to nature, rather than weighing the effects on individuals and businesses. The examples about students studying abroad and urgent meetings are relevant, but they are not developed with specific consequences or evidence. The environmental point about pollution and global warming is also asserted rather than explained in detail. To strengthen the response, directly compare these impacts and explain why the environmental benefits outweigh the practical and economic costs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on the benefits of flying, a paragraph on environmental concerns, and a concluding opinion. Transitions such as “On one hand,” “While on the other hand,” and “Overally” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and the contrast between the two sides is not consistently developed. For example, the discussion moves from urgent meetings to overseas study without explaining how these examples support the comparison in the question. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, and references such as “those concern” are not always clear. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then connect its explanation and example explicitly to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “air pollution,” “noise pollution,” “global warming,” and “opportunity,” and you attempt to express ideas about convenience, education, and environmental harm. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make parts of the response difficult to read, such as “flyng,” “convienent,” “inviroment,” and “oppourtinity.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “population of flying” and “the nature harm.” Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “the number of air travellers,” “damage to the environment,” and “carbon emissions” would help communicate your ideas more clearly and appropriately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional-style explanation of future consequences and clauses introduced by “which.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation sometimes make meaning harder to follow. For example, “Many individuals caught u with urgent meetings and works which has been solve by flying” has unclear tense and agreement, while “the atmosphere layer is getting harm” does not form a correct passive construction. The final sentence also contains a long, awkward structure that obscures the point. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and passive forms, and divide long sentences into shorter units. Careful proofreading for sentence boundaries and capitalisation would also improve clarity.
