Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individuals have decided to reduce the number of flights they take each year or to stop flying altogether.
There are several enviromental benifits from this initiative such as flights are the one which are accounted for the huge proportion of carbon dioxide emmisions in the air. Because they consume tones of petrol for every single journey. In addition to that, they require to fly in high altitude therefore the engines are very heavy and take a lot of load on them. Subsequently, When a flight take off from groud it creates high decimals of sound which results into a high level of noise pollution. These remains the same for all plans weather they fly for short distance or for long distance. For instance, when a person take flights frequently for some amount of time and short journey. He can save his time, in contrast every flight which are take by him make a huge impact on earth's pollution levels, as they do air and noise pollution and make a huge impact on environment. On the other hand, if the same person tends to use bus or trains or some other public transport they are much more safer for environment.
However, it is not practical to completely avoid the flights as they are very important part for many as it saves segnificant amount of time. In addition to that many citizens believe that public transports are highly crowded and inconvinient for their transport. Whereas the seats of the plans are more confortable. On the top of that the service and the food quality is much better than that of the trains and buses. Lastly, it can lead to a risk of a huge rise in the umemployement rate in country as currently there are several people who take part to make our journey through flights safe and easier. If we start a trend to ignore taking flights it leads to a hugh loss for many industries which relies completely on profit or income through flights.
In conclusion, I personally on the view point that completely avoid taking flights is nearly impossible as of now. although the environmental benifits are real, the economical consequences are not avoidable. Therefore we should limit the number of flights taken by us but completely remove the flights from individuals is not practical.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view: flying should be limited rather than eliminated because its environmental benefits must be weighed against economic and practical costs. The discussion of emissions and noise is relevant, and you support the disadvantages with points about travel time, comfort, employment and industries dependent on aviation. This meets the task well, while showing some of the fuller development expected at a higher level. However, several claims are asserted rather than explained—for example, that flights create a “huge proportion” of emissions and that avoiding them would cause a major rise in unemployment. The comparison with buses and trains could also be qualified, since their environmental impact depends on occupancy and distance. Develop these points with clearer reasoning or a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an environmental-benefits paragraph, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking expressions such as “In addition to that,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help signal the main stages. At times, though, cohesion feels mechanical, and the first body paragraph moves between emissions, aircraft engines, noise, an individual’s travel habits and public transport without a clear sequence. Some references are also difficult to follow, such as “These remains the same” and “they” in the discussion of flights and transport. Group related points and use clearer topic sentences and pronoun references. This would make the progression easier to follow while preserving the coherent overall arrangement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “carbon dioxide emissions,” “noise pollution,” “public transport,” “unemployment rate” and “industries,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. However, the range and control are limited by repeated general wording such as “huge impact,” “important” and “better,” as well as inaccurate or unnatural combinations such as “high decimals of sound,” “take a lot of load on them” and “profit or income through flights.” Spelling errors—including “enviromental,” “benifits,” “emmisions” and “confortable”—are noticeable and weaken the overall impression. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe aircraft as producing high noise levels and businesses as relying on aviation revenue.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “Because,” “when” and “if,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex structures are often not controlled reliably, and errors recur in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries. Examples include “a person take flights,” “a flight take off,” and “every flight which are take by him”; these need consistent subject–verb agreement and correctly formed verbs. The opening of the environmental paragraph also uses a fragment beginning “Because,” while “When a flight take off…” has an unnecessary capital after a comma. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check agreement and verb forms. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
