Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, many people thinks that if we reduce the number of times we fly every year can benefit in improving the environment. In this essay I will discuss why it is completely useless and I will also suggest more other ways of preventing environment.
On the one hand, if people started to reduce the amount of flight they took every year then this may lead to decrease in economic factors. Such as, if people specially tourist decrease their number of flight they took each year then it will also decline in the number of tourist on famous places such as, Taj Mahal, India Gate, and other tourist places because majority of tourist came from other countries, which directly affect the economy of India.
On the other hand, major businesses have foreign ownerships which can create a issue of lot of businessman who need to take weekly flight and if we reduce the number we travel by plane it can cause extremely damage to a lot of business which also support our economic growth stable.
If we need to prevent our environment then public can do different activities to benefit our ecosystem such as, people can simply plant trees near there home and people can also use dustbins to throw garbage.
In conclusion, I would say that only reducing the number of flights we take every year can not benefit ecosystem, in order to keep our environment clean we need to take smaller steps. Which can simply help our environment to get better.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that reducing flights is not the best way to protect the environment, and you identify possible disadvantages for tourism and businesses. However, the task asks whether environmental benefits outweigh those disadvantages, and the benefits receive almost no direct consideration. The claim that reducing flights is “completely useless” is also stronger than the support provided: the essay does not explain the environmental impact of aviation or compare it with the economic costs. The alternative actions—planting trees and using dustbins—are relevant to environmental protection but do not establish whether fewer flights are worthwhile. Develop both sides and make the comparison explicit, using specific support for your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” signal a contrast, and the tourism example gives the first body paragraph a central focus. However, progression is limited because the second body paragraph shifts from business costs to general environmental actions without clearly connecting them to the comparison in the question. Some linking is repetitive or awkward, such as repeated uses of “if” and “also,” while the final sentence beginning “Which can simply help” is detached from the sentence before it. Organise the body around the two sides of the question, and use clearer links to show how each example supports your judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “economic factors,” “foreign ownerships,” “ecosystem” and “economic growth,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “decrease in economic factors” does not specify the likely effect, and “extremely damage” is not a natural expression. “Preventing environment” and “keep our environment clean” also do not express the specific issue of reducing aviation emissions. Aim for precise terms connected to the task, such as tourism revenue, business travel, carbon emissions and environmental impact, and check that words combine naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “if people started to reduce…” and a relative clause in “business which also support…”. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For instance, “many people thinks that if we reduce… can benefit” has subject–verb agreement and clause-structure problems; “then it will also decline in the number” is not grammatically formed; and “a issue” and “there home” show article and possessive errors. Sentence boundaries are also problematic in “Which can simply help…”. Practise building complete clauses with clear subjects and verbs, then check agreement, articles, pronouns and punctuation.
