Student answer (Band 6.0)
Reduction or complete stop in number of times the people fly has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. While this trend offers several benefits such as clean environment, it also brings certain drawbacks like decrease in financial stability of people around the globe. This essay will explore both the advantages and disadvantages before reaching a conclusion.
One of the major advantage of this phenomena is clean environment. Commercial flights are increasing day by day, and eventually, they are adding more and more carbondioxide gas and other greenhouse gases in our air, and these gases are the major cause of global warming which is very hazardous for all types of species. Moreover, jet fuel is one the biggest consumers of oil so it is also depleting our fossil fuels resources at an alarming rate. Ultimately, if the number of flights will be less in the future it will benefit the environment automatically.
However, there are some limitations as well. In this modern world , every country is somehow connected with the other countries in many aspects like financially, and people own the buinesses in multiple countries. Additionally, these rich people are responsible for many poor people in the developing countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh etc, so if they decide not to travel specifically through flight it will eventually effect their revenue and the poor people will suffer.
In conclusion, while decrease in number of times people fly or either complete stop on flying offers notable benefits such as eco-friendly environment, it also presents challenges inluding disturbance in buisness activities. As far as I am concerned, I firmly believe that environmental benefits do not outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear position in the conclusion: you believe the environmental gains do not outweigh the disadvantages. The discussion of emissions and fossil-fuel use is relevant, and you connect reduced business travel with possible effects on people in developing countries. However, the disadvantages are less fully explained: the link between fewer flights, reduced business revenue and harm to poorer workers is asserted rather than illustrated or developed. The environmental case is also broad, with no specific example or comparison showing how substantial the benefits might be. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences for individuals as well as businesses and support each main point with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion that restates your view. This makes the line of argument easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “In conclusion” to show relationships between ideas. To move beyond this level, make connections between claims more precise and avoid relying mainly on formulaic transitions. For example, the paragraph about business travel moves from international connections to wealthy business owners and then to poorer workers without fully explaining each link. Develop that chain step by step, and use clearer referencing so readers can see exactly who “they” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “greenhouse gases,” “global warming,” “fossil fuels,” and “revenue,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “environmental benefits” and “financial stability.” However, several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems reduce precision: “clean environment” is vague, “one the biggest consumers” is not a natural expression, and “effect their revenue” uses the wrong word. Spellings such as “buinesses,” “inluding,” and “buisness” also detract from control. Build a more accurate range of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will make your argument sound more natural and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “gases which are the major cause of global warming” and conditional structures such as “if the number of flights will be less.” These attempts show some range, and the overall meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors nevertheless affect accuracy. For example, “One of the major advantage” needs a plural noun, while “if the number of flights will be less” requires a different tense pattern in the conditional. The opening phrase “Reduction or complete stop in number of times the people fly” also lacks clear article and noun structure. Practise accurate conditionals, agreement, and article use, then proofread longer sentences for punctuation and sentence boundaries.
