Student answer (Band 5.5)

In these modern technological era, people have a large number of options to do communication with each other for any types of purpose such as business and also if someone wants to know or explore a new place, they can easily watch through the online platforms. But sometimes, it lacks the real experience of feelings. There is an onngoing debate that reducing the number of fly will benifit the environment but it can have some disadvantages for individuals and business. I am also agree with the statement that it has not only some advantages but also have some disadvantages.

On one hand, our world's temperature is increasing every day. For these we are having several threats for instance water surface level are rising which will cause floods, global warming are taking to world to drought etc. Reducing the number of fly will absoulutely help the environment cause the carbon emission will be less then before and this will help the environment not to get more warmer day by day. If the carbon emission get in control the sorroundings environment will get the opportunity to have a liitle relax and get back to the normal. Therefore, all the creature in the world can get some relax in the world nowadays.

On the other hand, business needs commitement. In todays, though we can do meetings online with several paltforms but physical presence create more value than anything. Many clients ask for the physical meetings, so that they can ensure everything properly. That's why if they don't fly for the meeting, it is pretty obvious that, they will loose the contract and it can make a big loss for a company. Moreover, there are a large number of people still in the world those don't believe in online roaming only. They want to see the world with their own eyes and also enjoy different types of cultural activity by themselvess. It's just one of feelings to satisfy their own minds and collects some valuable lifetime memory.

As a result, we can say that reducing the number of flying is definitely positive for environment but also have some negative impacts on individuals and business.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question by discussing reduced emissions and the effects on business travel and personal holidays. Your view is present, but it is not fully clear: “I am also agree with the statement that it has not only some advantages but also have some disadvantages” presents a balanced position without answering directly whether the environmental benefits outweigh those disadvantages. The conclusion says flying less is “definitely positive” but does not explicitly compare the benefits with the costs. The points about carbon emissions and client meetings are relevant, yet they need fuller explanation or specific examples; the effects on individuals are mentioned briefly rather than developed. State your judgement clearly in the introduction and conclusion, then explain why one side carries greater weight.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for environmental benefits and disadvantages, and a concluding sentence. This makes the main line of discussion easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “As a result.” However, some links are mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is not always clear. For example, the environmental paragraph moves from rising temperatures to floods and droughts, then to emissions, without clearly explaining each connection. The business and personal-travel points are grouped together, so the paragraph’s focus shifts. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to your argument; make references such as “this” or “they” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “carbon emission,” “physical presence,” “clients,” and “cultural activity,” so the reader can understand the main subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the expression less precise, such as “number of fly,” “online roaming,” “world's temperature,” and “get some relax.” There are also repeated basic terms such as “environment,” “business,” and “world,” where more precise alternatives would help. Work on accurate collocations and topic-specific vocabulary, and check spelling carefully: errors such as “benifit,” “absoulutely,” and “sorroundings” are noticeable. Aim for natural phrases rather than translating expressions directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if they don't fly for the meeting, it is pretty obvious that…” and a relative clause beginning “those don't believe…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas harder to follow. Examples include “In these modern technological era,” “I am also agree,” and “the carbon emission will be less then before”; these show problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms. Other sentences contain unclear or incomplete grammatical relationships, such as “global warming are taking to world to drought.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation before adding clauses.
