Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people is trying to take an initiave to decrease the number of times they take a flight every year. Some believe that they should stop taking a flight overall. This essay will suggest a balance between the amount of flights taken and not taking any flight at all.Because,in my opinion the initiative has both equal benefits as well as losses.
In recent years, many researches has been conducted regarding the flights are indirectly or directly causing harms to our overall environment.Additionally, the fuel consumption and maintanance of an air route is tremendously expensive which needs to be undertaken on a regular basis.Nevertheless, whenever a flight is taken off it is tend to release a good amount of smoke into the clouds from the airplane which is highly concerning for our environmental bodies as it is polluting the clouds of the sky-routes.As a consequence our environment is paying a heavy price for these flights taken which is occurring the fluctuating behaviour of climate change such as droughts, flood, earthquake, land damages and most importantly the unstable weather conditions. However, this pressing issue is not being discussed because of the imperative usage of air-flights.We can not deny the huge advantageous side of our air-flights because whether it is related to business, travelling, medical treatments,VFR or religious puporse,we must need to take an air-flight for an efficient journey.
From my perspective, both the environmental issues caused by the flights being taken and the effective usages of flights in our everyday life is equivalently crucial. In my perception,I do not tend to think that the environmental benefits of this initiative will not be able to overpower the negative impacts on individuals and business perspective.Additionally,we should focus more on researching on fuel-efficient flights and stabilize the issue rather than not taking any flights at all.For instance,if there will be no flights taken through the years then the businesses such as cargo shipments,import-export companies, foreign businesses will most likely to decline and may lead to a greater sense of unemployment towards individuals. Moreover, this will cause a great loss to a country's economical sector.Regardless this ,we should improvise more on limiting flight timings to reduce the negative impacts on environment with multi-layerd strategies.
In conclusion,my perspective aligns with implementing cognitive and contingency planning strategies are more reliable than just putting the whole flights on a pause.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and make your position clear: you argue that reducing flights has environmental value, but that stopping them altogether would harm people and businesses. Relevant examples include medical travel, cargo, import-export companies and employment. However, the comparison is not fully developed: the environmental case is mostly asserted, and the business and individual disadvantages receive more specific examples. Some claims, such as flights causing earthquakes, are not convincingly linked to aviation and weaken the support. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely how fewer flights would reduce emissions, then weigh that benefit against the practical costs before reaching your conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and its overall direction is understandable. The progression from environmental concerns to the usefulness of air travel and then to your recommendation gives the essay a coherent basic structure. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “Nevertheless” does not clearly contrast with the preceding point, and “Regardless this” does not form a clear connection. The first body paragraph also combines environmental effects with the benefits of flying, making its focus less consistent. Use topic sentences to separate the environmental argument from the disadvantages, and make each linking phrase express the precise relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “fuel consumption,” “environmental benefits,” “fuel-efficient flights” and “unemployment.” This gives you resources to discuss both the environmental and economic dimensions. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “polluting the clouds,” “effective usages of flights,” “a greater sense of unemployment” and “economical sector.” Spelling errors such as “initiave,” “maintanance” and “puporse” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations rather than elaborate phrasing: for example, describe aircraft as emitting greenhouse gases and affecting the climate, and refer to a country’s economy. Proofreading would help make your meaning clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if there will be no flights taken” and clauses introduced by “because” and “which.” The main argument remains understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “Some people is trying,” “many researches has been conducted,” and “whenever a flight is taken off it is tend to release.” The sentence beginning “In my perception” also contains a confusing double negative: “do not think … will not be able to overpower.” Work on subject–verb agreement and standard conditional forms, and divide long sentences into clearer units. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
