Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few people have deceided to less the number of of times of their travelling by air every year or stop flying altogether.I think the environmental benefits of this decision may outweigh the negative impacts for individuals and businesses. Many people travel abroad for their businesses and work purposes and to attend meetings with international clients or partners.Decision of reducing the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying altogether can be disturbing for businesses and results can be fatal. From my perspective, people should not less the numbers of times they fly each year.It can be responsible for losing overseas clients and partners. For example, when business men are having meetings each month with clients and partners, they are able to get breifings on businesses and they can know what they have to do improve businesses and at whcih thing they are lacking. If they start to get breifings online from employes which are living abroad, they may not be able to get the points of workers properly, due to that, their businesses can go through from losses and they may not be able to recover losses, resulting in loss of businesses sometimes.

It is better to go abroad to look out for businesses and to try figure out at which point they are lacking and it is necessary to take managers and other team members with them,so they can easily just show their research on the things. The environmental benefits will definetly result in disadvantages for people and businesses.

On the other hand, many people travel abroad for visiting historical places and for research purposes and it is the situation where they have no choice but to do something. For instance, some people are fond of travelling abroad to explore nature and to collect data of historical places. They have no choice and due to this reason, they make a lot of trips abroad for exploring.

One situation is that many individuals are very passionated about the cultures and way of living of people in others countries and they individually teamup with each others and travel abroad. Most of the times, they fly by plane and it happens only fewc times that they made trips by cars or trains.

In conclusion,i will say the decision to reduce the number of times people fly every year or to stop flying altogether can be benefecial for environment but it also contains negative purposes for indivduals and businesses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a position—that reducing flights may benefit the environment but harm individuals and businesses—and include relevant examples about international meetings and travel for research or cultural interest. However, the response only partially answers the comparison in the question: it does not explain clearly whether the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages, and the conclusion repeats that there are both benefits and drawbacks without deciding which is greater. Several ideas are asserted rather than developed, such as saying online briefings could cause business losses, without explaining why this outcome is likely or considering alternatives. To strengthen the response, state your judgement directly and support it with a balanced comparison of environmental gains and practical costs. The response meets the required length; 21 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an identifiable overall structure, with an opening position, discussion of business travel, a contrasting paragraph about personal travel, and a conclusion. However, ideas are not arranged in a consistently clear progression, and some links between them are difficult to follow. For example, the paragraph beginning “It is better to go abroad” continues the business argument but does not clearly connect its claims about managers and research to the preceding example. The shift to historical visits and cultural interest is also abrupt, while “On the other hand” does not introduce a fully developed counterargument. Long blocks of text and limited paragraph separation make the organisation harder to follow. Use distinct paragraphs for each main point and connect each example explicitly to your judgement.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “international clients or partners,” “historical places,” “environmental benefits,” and “recover losses,” so the reader can identify the main subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or repetitive expressions make meaning less clear. Examples include “less the number of times,” “fatal” for a business consequence, and “negative purposes” in the conclusion. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “deceided,” “breifings,” “definetly,” and “passionated.” Aim for precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe businesses as “suffering serious losses” rather than saying results may be “fatal.” Vary repeated phrases such as “travel abroad” with contextually accurate alternatives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “If they start to get briefings online…” and clauses explaining consequences. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the relationships between ideas. For example, “Decision of reducing the number of times they fly… can be disturbing for businesses and results can be fatal” has problems with article use, sentence structure, and agreement. In “they can know what they have to do improve businesses,” the infinitive pattern is incomplete. Punctuation is also inconsistent: sentences run together without spaces after full stops, and “i” is not capitalised. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
