Student answer (Band 4.0)
some individual plan to deduct the number of times they fly every year or to stop go through planes. I strongly believe the environmental benefits of this development outweigh the drawbacks for indiviual and business because i benefits the environment in many ways.
One of the main advantage is that it saves the fuel, when there will be less passenger to travel through plane it will reduce the consumption of fuel of fuels. This can help to boost the economy if country needs to import fuel. For example, if a does travel less through planes their will be less pollution and usage of fuel. As a result it helps to save money. When there will be less pasangers, prices of flight will also reduce which can make affordable for poor people.
However, reducing travelling cannot give advantage directly, as when the airplane compnies earn they also contribute to econom. stoping flying is not enough to protect environment, there are certain other criteria which should be applied. The other advantage of decuding flying is it saves money t

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a clear position in the opening, saying the environmental benefits outweigh the drawbacks, and you mention fuel use, pollution, costs, and effects on airlines. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: the environmental benefits are not explained in depth, and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses are barely developed. The point that fewer passengers might reduce flight prices is not clearly connected to the disadvantages, while the final sentence is unfinished. The response contains 158 words, so it is 92 words below the required minimum; 19 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, develop both sides with specific explanations and examples, and finish with a conclusion that directly answers whether the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “One of the main advantage,” and a contrasting paragraph beginning “However.” These signals help the reader recognise the intended progression. However, the ideas within paragraphs are not consistently linked or clearly ordered. For example, the discussion moves from fuel savings to a country’s economy, then to pollution and flight prices without explaining how these points connect. The second body paragraph shifts between airline income, environmental protection, and saving money, and ends abruptly. Use one paragraph for environmental benefits and another for disadvantages, with each paragraph developing a central point. Add clear links between claims and examples, and provide a complete conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “environmental benefits,” “consumption of fuel,” “pollution,” and “airplane companies,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which makes parts of the response difficult to interpret. For instance, “deduct the number of times” is not a natural way to describe flying less, and “stop go through planes” does not express the intended idea clearly. There are also spelling errors such as “indiviual,” “pasangers,” and “decuding.” Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling; use natural expressions such as “reduce the frequency of flights” and “air travel.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if a does travel less through planes their will be less pollution.” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect, but the structure is not controlled enough for the meaning to be clear. Errors include subject–verb agreement and number in “One of the main advantage,” missing or incorrect articles in “if a does travel,” and faulty clause construction in “when there will be less passenger.” Some sentences also run together or lack clear punctuation, while the final sentence is incomplete. Practise accurate conditional forms, for example, “If people fly less, fuel consumption and emissions will fall,” and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
