Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many individuals have plans to decrease the number of times they fly every year and to stop flying together. From my perspective, the environmental benefits of this development does not outweigh the disadvantages for indivuduals as well as business.

First of all, nowadays flying by plane is very popular for everyone. Travelling helps people to have opportunities for study abroad, develop their careers, have steady connection with other people and discover theirselves. Flying is popular for bussinesmen's also. they are travelling for their bussineses to get wide connections with other people, whose have same interests. For instance, based on today's rate, roughly 45% choose to study and work abroad, rather than stay in their countries. They prefer to have new experiences and challenging theirselves. 55% of this attempts are successful and many of them have wealthy lifestyle and family.

Furthemore, Many people are using planes to change their destinations, especially in the summer when almost everyone have holidays. This is great tool for them to have memorable and enjoyable time. They are travelling, researching new things, introducing new people, trying different cuisines, discovering new culture and history. In addition, now emmigration is widely popular. Individuals choose to left their countries and work another country, due to the fact that, they can choose work based on their interests. For example, every country's have their success majors. In germany, Computer science and AI is very developed compared to other countries. Individuals searching for best destinations based on their majors and then leaving their countries.

In conclusion, I believe that the enviromental benefits of this development doesn't outweigh the disadvantages, especially for individuals, whose have plans to gain knowledge of best ways. In this century, travelling is best tool for everyone, not only for rest and hiking, but also working and study based on their interests. They can have productive holidays, have a new friends, develop their hobbies and careers, and return their knowledge to their countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall view: you believe the environmental benefits do not outweigh the disadvantages, and you give relevant reasons concerning study, careers, business connections and travel. However, the response addresses the task only partially because it focuses almost entirely on the disadvantages for individuals and gives little specific consideration to businesses. Most importantly, the environmental benefits are not explained or weighed against those disadvantages, so the comparison at the heart of the question remains incomplete. The figures about people studying or working abroad are presented without a source or explanation, and the claim that many achieve a wealthy lifestyle does not clearly support your argument. Develop both sides and explain why your chosen side is more significant.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs generally group related points. Linking expressions such as “First of all,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages in the response. However, progression is not always clear: the second body paragraph moves from holidays and tourism to emigration and employment without showing how these points connect to the comparison in the question. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “this attempts” are unclear. The conclusion repeats the position and lists benefits of travel rather than drawing together the argument about environmental gains and disadvantages. Organise the body around the two sides of the question and use clearer links between each claim and its support.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “study abroad,” “careers,” “connections,” “destinations,” and “culture and history,” which makes the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the response difficult to interpret. For example, “stop flying together” does not convey “stop flying altogether,” while “introducing new people” and “success majors” are not natural expressions in this context. Spelling errors such as “bussineses,” “emmigration,” and “enviromental” are also noticeable. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling; for example, explain that reduced flying may affect business travel, while alternatives could include video meetings or rail travel.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “rather than” and “due to the fact that.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Subject–verb agreement is often inaccurate: “the environmental benefits … does not” should use a plural verb, and “almost everyone have holidays” needs a singular verb. There are also problems with verb forms and sentence construction, as in “choose to left their countries” and “whose have same interests.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly at the start of sentences. Practise building accurate complex sentences, then check agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries before submitting.
