Student answer (Band 6.0)
There has been an argue about pros and cons of multiple flying. Many people think that to lessen or stop travelling comletely is an essential approach to save the environment. While it is a good idea to reduce aviation, it could negatively affect both individuals and businesses. In this essay I will discuss both advantages and disadvantages of minimizing travel before concluding that the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.
On the one hand, tring to reduce or stop flying has many advantages, one of which is to preserve the nature. Continuous flights are one of the sources of greenhouse gas emission, which directly affect ecological system and contribute to wether change. By reducing international and local aviation and use other ground transport facilities, people would succeed in protecting environment. For example, many countries around the world start to apply certain legal consequences to encourage green fly.
On the other hand, there are also many cons of stoping travel. One of them is that many places, especially irlands and countries which its economy depends on tourism, will be seriously affected. In addition, businesses face to face meetings and direct negotiations definitly will be replaced by online settings. Which may harm economic status. For instance, the world witnessed a sharp drop in economy in 2020 due to banned travel during COVID outbreak.
In conclusion, reducing travel has its benefits as well as its drawbacks. Multiple aviation could make devastating results. Therefore, I think that advantages of this development outwiegh the disadvantages. Because the benefits are short term while saving nature is a very long term effect.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear view: the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages. The discussion of emissions and the effects on tourism-dependent places is relevant, and the COVID-19 example helps illustrate economic disruption. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. The environmental paragraph explains that aviation contributes to emissions, but the example about countries applying “legal consequences” is unclear and does not show how reducing flights produces the claimed benefits. The business point about online meetings is also asserted rather than explained. Your conclusion gives a reason, but “the benefits are short term” appears to contradict the long-term value of protecting nature; clarify that contrast to make your position more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. This organisation is effective, though some links between ideas are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Which may harm economic status” is a fragment and its reference is not precise, while “Because the benefits are short term” is detached from the preceding sentence and makes the conclusion’s reasoning difficult to follow. Develop a clearer connection between each claim and its example, and use pronouns and linking phrases that identify exactly which idea they refer to. This would make the progression more consistently smooth.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “greenhouse gas emission,” “ecological system,” “aviation,” and “economic status.” These choices show some range, but inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “multiple flying,” “green fly,” “face to face meetings,” and “make devastating results”; these are not natural expressions in this context. There are also spelling errors such as “comletely,” “irlands,” and “outwiegh.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than using ambitious wording that does not fit the meaning. Learning topic-specific phrases such as “air travel,” “carbon emissions,” and “tourism-dependent economies” would help you express your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in “While it is a good idea to reduce aviation…” and a relative clause in “emission, which directly affect…”. Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “countries which its economy depends on tourism” has incorrect relative-clause structure and agreement; “Which may harm economic status” is an incomplete sentence; and “Because the benefits are short term” is also a fragment. There are also errors in verb forms and sentence construction, as in “many countries… start to apply” and “businesses face to face meetings… will be replaced.” Practise complete sentences, accurate clause links, and agreement, while retaining the complex structures you are attempting.
