Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is undenaible fact that the use of areoplanes to travel from one place to another place is continuously increasing that effecting our envionment so, a section of society planned to decrease the number of times fly in a year. This essay will discuss about the benefits of this change for nature and demerits for people and business.

To commence with the advantages of less travelling by fly as firstly, airplanes consume high amount of fuels while flying which came from natural resources of Earth, creates air and noise pollution so, it will decrease the pollution conduct in air. Secondly, the rate of deforestation will go down due to large fields or area is needed to build international airpots which came from removing agriculture land therefore that thing play an crucial role to save the globe.

For instance, in India, the forest land of Noida is cut down to construct the Jewar International Airport but authorities provides proper land amount for citizens.

On the other side demerits for humans and businesses as, many families are depend on the jobs of airports their all expenses cover by it hence removing airpots or less use of air transport make unemployment for employers. However, some countries GDP grow by the help of air transports for example Dubai, France if this develpment done it will reduce a nation growth.

To conclude, undoubtedly use of air transport everyyear to save earth act as a “double edged sword “.Indeed , myriads of positive points are derived from it ,hence the certain pitfalls associated with it does not surpass its merits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question by identifying environmental gains, such as reduced fuel use and pollution, and possible costs to airport workers and national economies. Your conclusion also indicates that you believe the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. However, the position is not fully clear in the introduction, which says the essay will discuss benefits and demerits without stating which side is stronger. Some support is under-developed: the Noida airport example concerns land use, but its relevance to fewer people flying is not explained, and the effects on businesses are asserted rather than illustrated. Develop the causal links and compare the scale of environmental benefits with the economic and personal costs more explicitly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on environmental benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To commence with,” “On the other side,” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. However, some linking is mechanical or awkward, and the opening of the benefits paragraph (“as firstly”) makes the relationship between ideas unclear. The airport example is placed within the environmental discussion but shifts to compensation for citizens without explaining how this supports the point. The conclusion’s “it” is also unclear because it could refer to flying or reducing flights. Use simpler, more precise links and make each paragraph’s examples clearly support its main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “air and noise pollution,” “deforestation,” “unemployment,” and “GDP,” and phrases such as “double edged sword” show an effort to use less common language. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow: “pollution conduct in air,” “airpots,” “develpment,” and “myriads of positive points” are examples. Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “less travelling by fly” and “proper land amount.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than ornate phrases. For example, use “flying less,” “airport construction,” and “economic growth” where appropriate, and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “airplanes consume high amount of fuels” and a contrast introduced by “On the other side.” However, errors in sentence construction and control are frequent enough to make some relationships unclear. For example, “a section of society planned to decrease” has an awkward tense and structure, while “many families are depend on the jobs” combines incompatible verb forms. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “an crucial role” and the run-on construction “Indeed, myriads…”. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
