Student answer (Band 5.0)
In a modern world, it is argued by some individuals to minimize the number or times they travel by aeroplane every year or stop flying altogether to gain environmental benefits of this development. In my opinon, there are many disadvantages for individuals and bussinesses.
On the one hand, some people believe that to reduce the number of times they fly every year or stop travel by plane. There are many environmental benefits of this but the most major is to reduce pollution. For example, some old aeroplanes can make bad smoke in air that are very dangerous for humans and animals. In addition, it is also very beneficial for human to reduce carbon emissions. For example, this gas is very dangerous that can cause many disease for individuals.
On the other hand, there are a lot disavantages of reduce travelling by plane. It also affect bussiness and decrease country economy. For example, there are many bussiness meetings that are out of country and if people do not attend these meetings it effect bussiness a lot.Furthermore, it also weak relation of country with other countries. For example there are a lot of country protests that are necessary to attend for governers if they not attend it affect country relations.
In conclusion, reduce the number of times to fly or stop flying thay are many advantages and disadvantages of this but its depend on several factor. From my perspective ,I strongly believe that disadvantages are outweigh than benefits because thay affect country economy and country relations with other countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages outweigh the environmental benefits, and you address both sides of the question. The points about pollution and carbon emissions are relevant, as are the effects on business meetings and international relations. However, these ideas remain limited and under-developed: for instance, you do not explain how reduced flying would affect businesses beyond missed meetings, or weigh those costs against the environmental gains in a detailed way. Your conclusion also says the outcome depends on several factors, which slightly weakens the otherwise clear position. The response is 241 words, so it is 9 words below the required minimum; the 11 words copied from the prompt are not included in that count. Develop and support each main point more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing sides, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are connected mechanically through repeated “For example” and “In addition.” Some links are unclear: the move from business meetings to “country protests” is not explained, and the conclusion repeats the main claims rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and explain how each example supports its paragraph’s central point. More precise referencing and a wider range of linking methods would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “environmental benefits,” “carbon emissions,” “business meetings,” and “country relations.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “bad smoke in air,” “weak relation,” and “disavantages”; “country protests” also does not clearly express the intended idea. Repetition of “dangerous,” “affect,” and “a lot” limits precision. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing emissions, economic effects, and international cooperation, and check spelling carefully. Choosing precise expressions will help your examples sound clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “if” and “because,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “it also affect bussiness” needs subject–verb agreement, while “some old aeroplanes can make bad smoke in air that are very dangerous” has unclear agreement and clause structure. The opening sentence is also difficult to follow because its construction is incomplete, and punctuation spacing is inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences around one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when their grammatical links are clear.
