Student answer (Band 5.0)

Air plane travel plays an important role in human life. People decided that they reduce or stop the tavel on plane for improvement of evnironmental system for individuals and businesses. I strongly believe that this development outwiegh its disadvantages for bussiness and public, this is because through the change we can improve air pollution and people can save their money.

First of all, many people face air pollution problems in their life, this i means that when people reduce the number of time of fly, air pollution started to clean. For example, cars, bikes and plane are spread the harm chamical in the atmosphere such as carbohydrates. So when people use other traveling option like boats, it development proof very benefits for , the environments. Therefore, people can spend their life in pure and clean environment.

Secondly, plane travel is very costly, even it is really difficult to travel on plane for the poor people, what is want to says if you aviod to fly and choose other travel options. For instance, if they used benefits traveling options, then people can save their money and earn too much income, because through this development the amount of customers increase. That is why, poor people can change his life through this samll charge.

In conclusion, although, it is clear that people have plan to reduce the figure of time they fly every year or to stop flying althogether is benefits for environments. I think that this plane advantages outweight the disadvantages for the individuals and businesses. because people can improve income and environment through this development. If government should take more strong steps to improve environments, then people spend their life in a pure and clean and environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages, and you mention two relevant areas: pollution and the cost of flying. However, the response only partially addresses the comparison in the question. The pollution point is relevant, but the explanation that reducing flights will make the air “started to clean” is unclear and does not show how the benefits outweigh the effects on businesses. The second body paragraph focuses on poor people saving money, while the claim that customers and income will increase is not explained or clearly connected to reduced flying. Develop the business disadvantages and compare them directly with specific environmental gains. The response meets the required length; eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the response, and each body paragraph has a main topic. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because explanations and examples do not connect clearly. For instance, the move from pollution to “cars, bikes and plane” spreading chemicals, then to boats, leaves the comparison confusing. The second paragraph’s link between avoiding flights, saving money and increasing customers is also unclear. Some linking phrases are mechanical, and the conclusion repeats earlier claims rather than drawing the comparison together. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and ensure each example supports its paragraph’s central point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “atmosphere,” “environment,” and “income,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the message difficult to understand: “tavel,” “evnironmental,” “outwiegh,” and “bussiness” recur alongside less suitable phrases such as “benefits traveling options” and “small charge.” “Harm chamical” and “carbohydrates” do not accurately express the likely meaning, which weakens the pollution example. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “greenhouse-gas emissions,” “alternative transport,” and “aviation industry” would help you explain the issue without relying on repeated general words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “although.” These attempts show some willingness to vary sentence structure, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas hard to follow. For example, “People decided that they reduce” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “when people reduce the number of time of fly, air pollution started to clean” contains problems with tense, number and clause structure. Agreement and pronouns are also unreliable in “poor people can change his life.” Punctuation is sometimes misplaced, particularly in the conclusion, where “although” and “because” are separated awkwardly. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then build longer sentences with consistent tense and clear punctuation.
