Student answer (Band 4.5)
Earth is being damaged by all sides whether its the destruction of forests or the pollution of air.some people have decided to reduce the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying altogher. Firstly, lets just assume that for once the airplanes stopped all the transportation what would happens? Yes,the whole economy will collapse. I would like to see the envirnoment getting better but if peOple stopped using the air transportation are they sure they are making some common difference.I do not find this to agree completely.
My Reasons for this specific asked questions are listed below:
1) If i choose a country where no air is being polluted it would definately make the envirnoment better but on the same hand the business would face alot of loss.
2) Every country do have a economy on which each and every single individual relys but when in the search of betterment the country is going to face hardles for basic needs and it will effect everyone.
3) Better envirnoment would result in living healthy lifestyle and being physically and mentally fit.Maybe the peple would also love this fresh new life but when they will use vehicals, machinary tools, invertors which are directly destroying the Ozone Layer. There every effort made to save the envirnoment would be a waste.
For Example: When we use a Bucket to water a plant and then we leave the plant on direct UV rays from the sun it would not survive due to incomplete care that's how the envirnoment works leaving only to travel through air and accepting it's envirnoment benefits will overcome the disadvantages for the individuals and businesses is not a smart move.We have to look after every factor that is necessary to save envirnoment as well the country progress.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a position against reducing or stopping air travel, and you recognise both environmental improvement and possible economic costs. However, the response only partially answers the comparison in the question: it does not clearly weigh whether the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. The claim that “the whole economy will collapse” is broad and unsupported, while the numbered points repeat economic concerns rather than developing specific effects on individuals and businesses. The discussion of other sources of pollution is relevant, but it does not show why reducing flights would be ineffective. Develop a clear, consistent judgement and support it with specific examples, such as effects on tourism, business travel, or aviation emissions. The 18 words copied from the task prompt were not counted in the reported total.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an identifiable opening, a set of supporting points, an example, and a concluding idea, so the reader can recognise the broad direction of your response. However, the ideas are not arranged into a clear, coherent progression. The numbered list interrupts the essay structure, and the points about economic loss, basic needs, and other pollution are not linked into a developed argument. Connectors such as “Firstly,” “but,” and “For Example” are used, but they do not always clarify the relationship between ideas. The plant-and-bucket comparison is difficult to follow and does not clearly support the conclusion. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and the conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one connected point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “transportation,” “economy,” “Ozone Layer,” and “environmental benefits,” and the general subject is usually understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “stopped all the transportation” is too broad for the issue of flying, and “common difference” does not express a clear idea. Spelling errors such as “altogher,” “envirnoment,” and “definately” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully; use terms such as “air travel,” “aviation emissions,” and “economic impact” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional question (“If … airplanes stopped … what would happens?”) and a sentence beginning “when they will use…”. These attempts show an effort to express cause and consequence, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “what would happens” should use the base verb after “would,” while “Every country do have a economy” has problems with subject–verb agreement and article use. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly the opening and the long final example. Practise accurate conditional forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
